Sweden, The World Islands
Some homes pull you in before you even make it past the doorway and this seven bedroom villa on Sweden Island at The World Islands honestly does that. The first thing you realize out here is just how quiet it gets. There is nothing between you and the open ocean except sea air and the sound of water. The villa itself is one of only ten designed for Sweden Island and only five are furnished by Bentley so you really are looking at something rare. It actually feels like its own little world. I slowed down for a second when I saw the rooftop because it looks like a ship just drifted out of a Norse legend and settled at the top. It is probably something you will either love at first glance or you will need a moment to get used to it but it does stand out.
When you step inside, it is the kind of place where it almost feels like it is built for both big gatherings and those quieter mornings when you want coffee by yourself and maybe the news on in the background. The built up area is a little over twenty one thousand so you have space in every sense. I was surprised by how warm the interiors are. You might expect something cool because of the ocean everywhere but there is a softness in the wood and the light inside that makes it feel inviting and a bit homey. You notice these little details in how the rooms just flow together.
Honestly for a seven bedroom villa all the spaces still feel used and not just for show. Sometimes in big homes like this you might find empty corners or rooms but every space here feels like somewhere you could sit or read or just watch the light change as the day goes on. The kitchen is a real one for cooking and the living areas are set up so you can have friends over without it feeling crowded. It is the kind of property perfect for a principal residence or maybe even as a second home where you bring family out for holidays.
One thing that did make me stop for a bit is the infinity pool out by the private beach. If you are standing there in the afternoon you get the breeze coming in and it actually does feel like a private island getaway. You will probably spend a good part of the year outside here with the sound of the ocean in the background. The private beach is just steps away and sometimes you can walk along the sand for a while without seeing anyone except maybe a seabird or two.
There are also some details that make this place unique. The villa comes with both a snow room and a steam room and I cannot think of many places in Dubai or anywhere really where you can step into the cold after a hot day out in the sun. It is something you might have to get used to but once you try it you will know what I mean. This is all part of the Sweden Island vibe. Every now and then the community puts together little Swedish festivals and you will hear laughter drifting over or smell something good from the neighbors. Sometimes you almost forget how close you are to Dubai itself and the city lights until you remember you can be back at Jumeirah or Downtown in no time.
The World Islands are quiet but not cut off and that is maybe the best thing about this villa. You get privacy without feeling isolated. Schools shops even the best golf courses they are not far if you want them and then you get to come home to this. If you want to know what it actually feels like to live somewhere so different and yet still easy you have to come see it in person. The only way to really know if this Sweden Island villa is the right move for you is to have a look. If you are curious or just want to chat about what life could be here reach out anytime.
