Some homes really just have a way of making you slow down when you walk inside. This villa at 58 La Gorce Circle on Miami's La Gorce Island made me do exactly that. Maybe it is the sound of water close by or maybe it is how the gate somehow makes the outside world feel far away. Right when you step through the door you get a sense this place was built to be lived in. Not just shown off but really used day to day. Sometimes you notice that with proper family homes.
What stands out first is just how much light there is. Seriously. Every room feels bright from so many wide windows and you almost forget there are neighbors. The property feels private and just calm. You get pretty sweeping bay views and the pool is the kind where you can actually picture yourself spending full mornings swimming or just enjoying a quiet afternoon. In the evenings if you leave the doors open for a bit, you hear a few birds and sometimes smell the sea air which is one of those things you only get in select parts of Florida.
This isn't one of those cookie cutter Florida villas you see copied a hundred times. The people who put this home together think about all the details. The lines and spaces actually feel relaxed. It honestly never feels overdesigned at all. I even stopped for a moment in the living room just imagining how it would feel having friends over easy conversations or watching the bay as the sun goes down.
With seven bedrooms it feels generous but not overwhelming. Maybe you have a big family or friends who visit a lot. I could see three of the rooms being proper bedrooms and the others becoming a study a little gym or even a reading space. You can tell from the way the ceiling heights work with the open layout that someone really cared about how you move through the rooms. Sometimes with new builds you get the sense they built fast. Here you feel patience the details are thoughtful and even, sometimes you notice door handles or light switches are just a bit nicer than everywhere else.
Cooking here would be fun. The kitchen is one of those spots that feels made for more than just reheating leftovers at midnight. There's smart space around the counters and you can actually picture kids doing homework at the table while you finish off a meal. All the modern touches are there but nothing feels flashy in an annoying way. Storage is actually usable and there are places to put all the little bits you pick up living by the seaโflip flops, hats, half painted shells the kids collect.
I wandered out to the garden and just took it easy for a few minutes. It is bigger than most in Miami but not too much to take care of. There's enough flat green for a casual soccer kick-around and the landscaping keeps it private. The pool is set just right so you get bay views while you swim or even just float in the water, and it catches the best of Miami's late day sun without baking the whole place.
La Gorce Island is a quieter sort of place. You see people out walking dogs or jogging in the early morning. Most of the time there's a friendly wave or a smile but nobody is ever in your business. The security here is real too so you really do feel your space is your own. Yet you are only a short drive to everything you need. Good coffee is always close, the best Miami shops are never far, and, honestly, the beach is a lot closer than you think.
It is unfurnished which honestly lets you imagine your own style in every corner. Sometimes I think that's when a house really turns into a homeโwhen you make it your own.
The only way to know if it feels right is to come by and get a feel for it yourself. If you want to ask questions, talk through what is possible, or just walk around and see if the bay view feels like home, let me know. At LuxuryProperty.com we just want your next place to feel like, well, your place. No pressure at all. Reach out any time.
