Some homes really do make you pause before you even open the door. This one in Sierra Blanca is that kind of place. It is a six bedroom villa with the Mediterranean Sea showing off in the distance and La Concha mountain resting in the background. Even before you are inside you will catch a bit of that sea air as you stand by the gates. I always think the very first impression here is just the light and calm you get from all the green around you. If you like Marbella but want to feel a bit tucked away in nature too this Sierra Blanca villa is hard to beat.
When you drive through the double gates you actually slow down without meaning to. There is a stretch of old olive trees on either side that gives the driveway this peaceful feel. By the time you reach the marble foyer it has already started to feel quieter than most places in Marbella. The front door swings open and you get hit with high ceilings that bring in sunshine from all angles. I found myself just standing for a moment looking at the marble staircase which climbs up to the second level in a way you do not see every day. All the little details show that someone cared about how the house feels just as much as how it looks.
Kitchens can sometimes be for show but honestly here it is the real heart of the house. The cabinetry is all hand crafted and you have this big central island where you can picture everyone crowding around with coffee on a Saturday morning or pancakes and bright orange juice after a swim. The kitchen window is one of my favorite bits. You look out and the gardens stretch away with a flash of blue sea beyond. You actually want to stand there and chat while someone cooks. The appliances are the kind you would want if you actually like making meals at home for family or friends.
Every one of the six bedrooms has its own bathroom which just makes life easier. If you have family staying over or guests nobody is lining up or sharing in the morning. A couple of the bedrooms have little sitting corners where you could settle in with a book after a day outside. I opened a window and listened for a while to the birds around the pond. Even though you are close to Marbella city center somehow it is silent here most of the time. The main bedroom suite is a real retreat. You get this bathroom with space to spare and you almost forget you are meant to leave for dinner.
The main level is set up for both big family times and quiet evenings. There are rooms with tall doors for formal dinners or holidays. Next to that you have a more relaxed lounge that really makes you want to sink into a chair and watch the sunlight move across the floor. If movies are big in your house there is a full home cinema and even a bar for evenings with friends. There is a good office as well if you are working from home but prefer to keep work out of sight when you are done. Laundry and storage are both tucked away so things always look easy and never cluttered.
The garden is special. There is this koi pond you hardly notice until you are right next to it plus a little bridge for that secret garden vibe. The old olive trees have more history than most of Marbella. Out by the pool and pavilion you will want to fire up the BBQ when the evening sun starts to drop. I found myself walking the paths there one morning and honestly forgot about my phone for a while which really says something. Sea views come with almost every part of the house and the mountain behind keeps the evenings cool even in summer.
Sierra Blanca is the kind of place people talk about if they want the best of Marbella but also peace and privacy. The shops and cafes of Marbella are never far away. The beach is close enough you could bike down in the morning. Some families live here all year and others just for the summers or winter holidays and it suits both.
This villa feels lived in but ready for someone new. Everything works and you still have room to make it your own. Honestly the only way you know if it is right is by walking around for a bit and seeing how it feels. If you want to arrange that or just ask some questions I am around. At LuxuryProperty dot com we make moving into a new home in Marbella just feel simpler.
