Some homes just give you that relaxed holiday feeling the moment you walk in. I got that right away when I visited this villa in Atalaya Rio Verde, Marbella. It sits quietly among leafy streets at the edge of Nueva Andalucía and it honestly just feels worlds away from the busy parts of town even though you are just a quick drive to all the shops and restaurants near Puerto Banús. You actually can just walk to Puerto Banús if you want that extra bit of fresh air or wander down to the beach which is closer than most people think. Kids do ride their bikes in the evenings here and you will see folks strolling their dogs or just catching up with neighbors near the corner.
I remember walking up to the gate and hearing the soft sound of the water feature by the entrance. It gave the place a calm mood right away and it is the sort of detail you do not really notice at first but after a while you realize it tells you a bit about the house. The property itself is quite striking. All those clean lines on the outside and the garden feels so well looked after you almost do not want to walk on the grass. You get spectacular views of La Concha Mountain from the moment you step in. Even from inside the living room if you turn your head you will spot that mountain backdrop. Every single room faces south which is actually pretty rare and means you get garden views and sunlight all day. I stood by the kitchen window one morning and watched the light shoot across the worktops. Someone clearly planned this out well.
The living lounge and dining all flow together as one big space. It makes it very easy to just live your life here which I think is the best part. You can cook or help with homework or just chat and hang out all together. The kitchen is real too not just a showpiece. Solid wooden cabinets deep finishes and so much storage you almost forget what is at the back of the cupboard sometimes. You could actually imagine a long weekend lunch here with doors pushed open to the terraces and the barbecue sizzling just outside. I have seen some outdoor kitchens that look fancy but not practical but this one you will want to use. You will also spot a sunken seating area right beside the private pool. Even if you are not a pool person it gives you a little escape spot for a quiet coffee or evening drink while everyone else is swimming or lounging.
Upstairs it just keeps that easy feeling going. There is the master suite which has its own terrace doors that open straight out and you honestly wake up to views that almost make you forget to check your phone in the mornings. There is a walk in closet for anyone who likes to keep organized plus the bathroom has this great standalone bathtub. I actually sat for a moment and tried to imagine how quiet it must be after a long day. The guest suites are bright too so no one feels left out here.
And when you want to change things up there is a whole level below for fun or working out. You get a proper gym so no excuses on skipping a workout. Plus a sauna and even a wine cellar down there which is a nice surprise. There is even an entertainment room with a custom bar that feels like a little private club at home. The garage actually fits several cars which you will appreciate if your household is anything like mine. Everything is just tucked away in a way that makes living here feel easy and private.
Out front the gardens stay green year round it seems and there are a few little spots you could sneak away to if you want a little quiet time with a book. Honestly the hardest part of this house is leaving it. You get that blend of private villa life with just the right amount of community around you so you never feel too far away from what matters. The coffee shop is never more than a few minutes away and if you need groceries or want to eat out Puerto Banús has everything right at your fingertips.
It is hard to sum up this villa without seeing it for yourself. The only way to know if it is the kind of place you want to call home is to visit. If you have any questions or would like to take a walk through just let me know. At LuxuryProperty.com we do our best to make your next step as comfortable as possible.
