Some houses just make you stop for a second before you even get inside. That is really how this six bedroom beachfront villa in Costabella felt the first time I walked up to it. You can smell the sea as soon as you get out of the car. The sky feels bigger out here and you actually hear the water sometimes if you listen closely. There is something really easy and welcoming about it all. I took my time walking along the little garden path and before even reaching the front door you get that hit of sun reflecting from the waves. It is kind of hard not to slow down here.
Honestly the first thing you will notice when you come inside is just how much space the villa gives you. The ceilings are high. The open plan living and kitchen area feels like a spot where families or friends could actually hang out without ever stepping on each others toes. Sometimes you get these big villas but they feel a little too formal. Here it just feels inviting. Someone was baking bread in the kitchen once when I visited and it smelled amazing. The kitchen is not just for looks either. Big island counter. Top appliances. Actually feels like a place you could make a proper family meal or two. I even caught myself thinking about cooking here and I am not exactly a chef.
When you step into the main living area it just opens up to the outside. Those floor to ceiling windows are something else. The whole ground floor is bright almost all day because of it. There is this cozy corner of the living room where you get the best natural light in the afternoon and I can imagine just reading there and looking up from time to time to see the sea. You will probably spend most evenings out on the terrace though if I had to guess. There is a heated pool out here and more space for outdoor dining than most restaurants have. People really do eat outside a lot in Costabella because the weather is just that good so often.
The beach is right there. No roads in between. No long walks. Just a couple of steps beyond your own terrace and you are standing on the sand. It is a spot where you see people taking early morning walks and kids running around after school. I have even spotted dolphins playing offshore if you keep an eye out.
Upstairs the villa just gets better. The master bedroom is more like a private apartment really. Big bathroom. Doors that open right onto your own terrace where the sea is pretty much the first and last thing you see each day. The other bedrooms are generous too and each has its own way out to some private bit of outside space. Even when the house is full it never feels crowded because there are so many little corners to escape to.
The lower level is actually quite clever. It has two extra bedrooms that could suit guests. I have seen them used for staff sometimes or for visiting parents who want a bit of peace.
You would not have to worry about comfort here either. Central air keeps everything cool. Underfloor heating means chilly mornings are no trouble at all. There is a Sonos system so your music follows you from room to room and you will not even notice the high-tech security keeps an eye on everything without getting in the way.
Costabella is one of those rare parts of Marbella where it still feels friendly. The cafés along the beach get busy with neighbors in the mornings. You can get to Marbella or Puerto Banús in about ten minutes but somehow it feels a world away when you are here.
You have to walk through a home like this to get the feel for it all. Sometimes the photos just do not quite catch it. Reach out any time if you want an honest look or you are just a little curious. We are here to help you find a place that feels like home.
