Deangarden Reach, Abbey Barn Park, London
Sometimes when you walk up to a place it just slows you down a bit. That is exactly what happened when I saw this three bedroom apartment at Deangarden Reach in High Wycombe. There is something about the way it sits inside Abbey Barn Park that makes you feel like you are tucked away somewhere calm but honestly you are so close to everything. You have Deangarden Wood right next door and you can actually spot the trees from the window. The air smells fresher here. I saw a couple walking their dog while I parked and you just know it is the sort of area where neighbours still say hello. The first thing you notice stepping inside is that the open plan layout makes sense. It flows without feeling like too much space or too little. I could picture people sitting in the living area by the window and still being part of a conversation while someone makes tea in the kitchen. The surfaces are finished nicely not too glossy and a bit warm to the touch. You can tell someone thought about putting storage in places that actually make sense so you are not fighting for cupboard space. The kitchen feels like somewhere you could cook for real not just warm up leftovers. I always like when the lighting feels right here it does not feel harsh and in the mornings the natural light is just good enough that you do not even need lamps.
Upstairs you have three bedrooms that feel bright and comfortable. It is not one of those apartments where you have to pick the one “good” room. Each bedroom is a decent size. I opened up the doors and you get a bit of that wooded air drifting in especially if you keep the windows cracked in spring. The main bedroom feels set apart slightly so it does feel a little more private than you might expect. Bathrooms well there are three of them and honestly that just makes life so much easier. No one needs to queue when everyone is trying to get ready in the morning and that can make a real difference.
What is changing about Abbey Barn Park is the sense of community building up. You will see new families moving in and some people taking their time on bikes or kids playing near the green space. Now and then you hear a ball bouncing or someone calling out for their dog but otherwise it is peaceful. You are only a short drive from the heart of High Wycombe which still has its market feel and the station is so near you can get to London Marylebone in under half an hour on the train. That really struck me standing outside thinking how you could have those proper country walks on a Saturday morning and still catch dinner with friends in the city that night.
The apartment is part of a phase that sits a little more privately within Deangarden Reach so the traffic does not really come through and the evenings feel quiet. Early mornings are my favourite here birds are out and if you open your window you hear them before you smell the first coffee brewing. Sometimes properties just feel like somewhere you would want to settle in for a while and honestly this feels like one of those. Whether you are growing your family or just looking for a place where mornings are less rushed and the outdoors is never far this apartment is worth seeing.
You have local shops and schools if you need them and walking trails are close if you want to stretch your legs without planning an entire trip. The wider Chilterns are right there if you want proper countryside on the weekends. Day to day you will find life here moves at a pace you can actually enjoy. That is not always easy to find.
If you are curious or just want to walk through and get your own feel of the place just let me know. No pressure ever. The only way to know if it is home is to step inside. At LuxuryProperty.com we are always here to help you move at your own pace.
