Rixos, Dubai Islands, Deira
Some homes seem to have a quiet heartbeat before you are even through the front door. That was honestly how it felt when I stepped into this two bedroom apartment at Rixos Dubai Islands over in Deira. Space is the first thing that hits you. Almost two thousand square feet of it so you are not going to feel boxed in here. The living and dining area just opens right up and I found myself drifting over to the big windows after a minute because the morning sun pours in and warms up every spot. Sometimes when you look out you can see the tide rolling in and families wandering up the beach. You get a sense of Dubai life that is not always loud. Just moments that sneak in and make you pause.
You come in through a lobby that is both relaxed and quietly elegant. Nothing cold or corporate about it. I noticed the doorman already waving at some of the residents when I visited. People linger for a second in the cafe downstairs. It is not one of those places where everyone is rushing. The concierge desk actually does seem to remember faces which says a lot. Whenever I pass by with arms full of shopping bags it is never awkward. Staff make it feel personal in a way that is not easy to fake.
Back inside the apartment you can see how much thought went into making the layout easy. The living and dining spaces mean you can move furniture around without any awkward corners. I pictured lazy Friday afternoons here with the doors open and maybe a sea breeze rolling through or even just working from home on a random Wednesday with enough quiet to focus. The kitchen is fully fitted with plenty of storage and honestly it is the kind of kitchen you may actually use. Not just takeout and leftovers. Bedrooms are both generously sized so no feeling like you are stuck in a shoebox. One of them even opens to the view which is a good way to start your day looking at the city on one side and the sea on the other. The bathrooms have this smooth hotel style but pull back just in time so they do not feel formal. Storage has been handled well which is sometimes rare. Everything just fits.
You get proper amenities here without any fuss. There is a really well kept community pool but for me the big sell was the beach just about a minute away. I watched a bunch of families with kids building sandcastles and there is always someone jogging along the shoreline. Sometimes you get the chance to join in a pickup paddle game on the pedal court which you do not always find. And yes there are real amenities for families with kids. The play area is actually used most of the day and every so often you will hear laughter totally drifting up if you open the window a bit. If it gets too hot or you are in the mood for a movie night there is a screening room set up for residents. There is a lounge plus a cafe so you are never stuck waiting for a table or the internet.
If you care about wellness the fitness center downstairs covers everything you need and there is a treatment room begging for some quiet self time. On top of that security here is just present enough so you always feel safe but you are not overwhelmed by it. Valet parking and doormen mean coming home is easy and honestly a little more enjoyable. I often spotted residents heading out for a walk to the local shops or catching that last bit of sunset by the water.
Location matters too here on Deira Dubai Islands. You are minutes from Burjuman and not far from Dubai Mall. Medical care is always close and the area throws up surprises now and then with pop up markets and little art shows. You can always find a coffee shop nearby which is an underrated thing in daily life.
Just as a heads up the images are just for illustration. No photo really shows that feeling you get standing in the space itself. If you want to come and wander around or if there is anything you want to talk about I am always happy to help. At LuxuryProperty.com our hope is that your new place feels like a real home every single time you walk through the door. When you are ready just let me know and we can take a closer look together.
