Akala Hotels and Residences, DIFC
Some homes just have a quiet kind of way about them the moment you open the door and this 2-bedroom apartment for sale at Akala hotel and residences in Zabeel honestly gave me that feeling. I wandered in on a Thursday morning and right away you kind of forget the city outside because it is calm here and light slides in through big windows that look out over green Zabeel and you can see the tops of trees and sometimes if you lean out a bit you might catch a glimpse of kids playing in the distance. It surprised me a bit actually how peaceful it feels considering you are in Zabeel two which is right in the middle of everything you need plus Dubai Mall and DIFC are five minutes by car so café mornings or dinner after work never feel out of reach.
The thing with these Akala hotel and residences apartments is they are not just about glossy finishes perfect as they are some actually feel lived in even if they are fresh. I noticed in this apartment it is not too dressy or too cold and the kitchen feels like a place where you really could chop up veggies or slow cook stew instead of only just reheating leftovers. There is a proper breakfast bar if you ever catch yourself running late and just need coffee and toast but also enough space if you want guests to linger awhile for dinner. The appliances are all built in and they feel solid and modern and the open plan space means you can glance over the living room while you are prepping stuff so even if you do have people around you do not feel stuck in one corner.
Both bedrooms are a decent size. Nothing cramped and definitely not the old boxy type. I stood by the window in the main bedroom and honestly you just want to lean back on the sill and watch the sky go soft in the evening. That is the kind of natural light we are talking about here. The storage is more than enough for two people who actually like clothes and shoes and even if you are just one person who wants spread out space it works. Both bathrooms are smartly done with walk in showers and a nice neutral stone that just makes mornings feel a bit less rushed. The main bedroom has its own en suite which is a little bit of a treat after a long day if you want time to yourself.
Another thing you will notice is the way this building is set up. Akala hotel and residences is not like the mega towers you see everywhere. It is a little more private and the lobby actually feels welcoming not echoey and cold. There is good security so packages are safe and if you ask they even help with groceries some days. You get access to a proper gym with all the usual stuff and a pool that looks right across to old Dubai so afternoon swims are a real option when the weather cools down. It definitely does not feel like a stuffy hotel even if it is professionally managed and kept super tidy. Most people you meet in the lift or heading down for coffee are friendly and you get a sense that people enjoy living here not just stop here for a holiday.
Zabeel two is a real community by the way. Maybe you do not know it yet. Neighbors wave and sometimes families gather down at the park for little picnics and you occasionally catch the smell of barbeque in the air come late Friday afternoon. The coffee shop across the street is open early and late so you really never need to worry about missing your morning cup and taxis pass by every hour if you do not drive.
Sometimes homes feel better in person than they ever do in pictures or words. If you want to walk through or just ask more about Akala and Zabeel I am around any time. At LuxuryProperty.com we try to make things as easy as we can for you. Even if it just starts with a coffee and a chat.
