Samana Ocean Views by Elie Saab, Maldives Island
Some homes just seem to slow you down the second you walk in. That is exactly what happened when I came to this private one bedroom villa at Samana Ocean Views by Elie Saab in the Maldives. The moment I opened the door, the sound of the ocean just sort of hummed in the background. It is pretty hard not to smile when you are surrounded by all those soft breezes and there is nothing but blue water in front of you. I think even if you are usually in a hurry, you will find yourself stopping for a bit just to take it all in. It is a different kind of calm out here.
Honestly, life in this villa does not feel like a show home. It is the sort of space where you genuinely want to take your shoes off. I walked across the cool floors after a swim and realized there was nothing stiff or pretentious. The living area is open and there is more than enough space to stretch out on a big comfy sofa or maybe toss some extra cushions on the floor like most beach people do. The kitchen is not just a line of high gloss cupboards. You can really imagine settling in and cooking up a proper Maldivian breakfast or even having lazy coffee mornings with just the sound of the water nearby. The wood on the deck still smells fresh and sitting outside with a warm mug in your hands feels just right here. Somehow it is hard to remember all those little worries when you have that view in front of you every day.
You will notice the beach access right away. A few steps and you are out on the sand. You cannot get closer than this. The private pool outside catches the sunlight just right and I spent half an hour floating and watching how the sky turns all soft pinks as the sun drops behind the ocean. It is the sort of spot where your phone barely comes out and time gets a bit lost. Both the outdoor and indoor bathrooms feel like a spa. I tried the outdoor shower with the breeze coming in from the sea and it really does something good to your mood. If you have ever thought about having a soak outdoors under the stars, you will probably love it here.
The villa's design is really something you have to see. It does not have those straight modern lines that sometimes feel a bit cold. Everything flows gently and you can tell it was built to fit in with the island. Lots of sliding glass doors that open up so even inside it feels like you are outdoors. The gardens are full of trees and there are always colorful birds in the mornings. It just has this natural feeling where everything sort of blends in with the land around you.
There is a strong eco friendly vibe throughout Samana Ocean Views. You can see the solar panels up top and the systems for water and energy are very smart. After a few days you do not think about it anymore. It is just easy knowing you are using less and doing things in a way that feels right for the Maldives. It adds a little extra peace of mind knowing your home is gentle on the island.
If you want a bit more than just relaxing, there are wellness centers on site. I saw people heading to early yoga while the sky was still pale or couples booking a massage before breakfast. You might see the resort chef arrive with fresh fish for dinner on the terrace and I have to say, the sea bass I tasted here was perfect. Paddleboards are always out waiting and the water is so clear that on most days you will want to try snorkeling. There always seem to be families out for a walk after dinner and the coffee shop is just close enough for those late afternoon cravings.
This villa is not about being perfect. It is about living easy and letting yourself unwind without having to think about the clock all the time. If you want to know if it feels right for you, the best way is just to come and see it. I am always happy to answer any questions or just walk the property with you if you want to take it all in at your own pace. At LuxuryProperty dot com, we do our best to help your move feel natural and easy. Sometimes you really do need to be here to get it. Let me know if you want to try that first morning coffee with the waves right outside.
