The Highbury, Mohammed Bin Rashid City
This apartment at The Highbury, right in the heart of Mohammed Bin Rashid City is perfetc. The moment I opened the door to this one bedroom corner apartment, I almost wanted to take my shoes off and just wander around quietly for a second. There's something about all that light coming in, and you see how the whole space just sort of opens up—nothing is boxed in, everything connects together. It feels open and stylish but not showy, just real and inviting.
You get about eight hundred eighty square feet of living space, which for a one bed in Dubai feels pretty generous. It never feels cramped, not even in the kitchen, and honestly the kitchen actually seems like somewhere you'd do more than just throw a frozen pizza in the oven. The countertops are smooth and solid, you want to touch them when you pass by. There's enough workspace if you enjoy cooking for friends, or maybe just for yourself with the windows open and some music in the background.
And then the windows are the thing. Big corner windows that look right out onto the pool and across to Meydan. You might find yourself just standing there, coffee in hand, just watching the city instead of doing whatever you came into the room to do. Even on a hot afternoon, the views kind of draw you out of your own head for a bit. I think what makes it more special is how private it still feels, even though you can see so much outside.
The way the living room, dining area, and kitchen all flow together is one of my favorite things. It makes the apartment feel bigger, yes, but it also means you never feel cut off from anyone. So if you have friends over, or you just like moving from the sofa to the fridge without bumping any walls, it just works. The bedroom itself is comfortable, with plenty of built in storage so you are not crowding up your living space with extra furniture. It is a place where you can actually sleep in—not just crash after a long day.
And if you feel like getting out, The Highbury's amenities are something you will probably want to talk about. There is a rooftop infinity pool, and it is honestly worth visiting just for the view of Dubai's skyline stretched out in front of you. I have sat up there for a while in the evenings, just watching the sunset and letting the day end slow. There's a proper yoga and fitness suite too, not just some small gym—people actually use it, and the vibe is friendly. Spa facilities for men and women are included, so you can treat yourself without leaving home. I have even seen kids laughing and splashing in the dedicated children's area by the pool, which just makes the whole thing feel like a real community.
You will notice that the building attracts a friendly mix—professionals, couples, some young families. Sometimes you see neighbors chatting in the lobby or heading to local coffee spots together. It does not feel like one of those cold, anonymous buildings. And living in Mohammed Bin Rashid City, you are only minutes away from the Dubai Design District, Downtown Dubai, and all those cafes, galleries, and shops that everybody talks about. Taxis are everywhere, parking is easy, and some days it is actually quicker to walk to places than drive.
If investment potential matters to you, this area is one to keep on your radar. There is a lot of energy and growth here, plus smart design that stands the test of time. But honestly, it is the feeling of coming home that gets me. You should visit and see how you feel—that's really the only way to know if it is the right place.
