Every once in a while I step into an apartment that just feels right from the start. This one bedroom place up on one of the higher floors at JW Marriott in Dubai Marina really surprised me. There is something about being up here looking out over the full marina view you get from every room. I found myself just going to the window and actually staying there for a while. You can see the boats drifting by and the light changes as the day goes on. It is quiet up here but you still get that sense of the city doing its thing below.

Honestly sometimes when I walk into a show apartment it looks great but it does not actually feel like anyone could really live and relax there. This one is not like that. Everything is immaculately kept but the furniture does not make you feel uncomfortable sitting down with a coffee or just putting your feet up. The sun sets behind the buildings and you get this warm glow that honestly makes you forget your phone for a while. Plus being up on a high floor it just feels nice and private. You do not hear the street noise or worry about people looking in.

If you like to get out Dubai Marina is always buzzing but you can tuck yourself away up here when you want some quiet. Go downstairs and suddenly you are surrounded by cafes and restaurants. There is always a good coffee shop nearby. Sometimes you see folks just taking a walk by the water in the evenings or biking down the path. Living here means you are right at the heart of everything but your own place feels calm like a little retreat.

You also get access to all the five star hotel amenities which makes things super easy. The pool is one of those places where you actually want to sit for a while not just splash and leave. The gym is surprisingly well stocked too. And frankly just being able to walk into a hotel lobby for a quick meeting or coffee feels pretty nice sometimes. Security and privacy are both solid here which matters when you just want to come home and relax.

Parking is simple as well with your own spot allocated. It is those small things that make life easier. Oh and if you are thinking about renting the place out instead the market here for fully furnished high floor apartments with this kind of view is always strong. You will not have trouble finding the right tenant.

I cannot promise every apartment makes you slow down and look out the window but this one really does feel different.
