I walked into this three bedroom apartment at Acacia B in Dubai Hills Estate and there is something about the space that makes you slow down a bit. Maybe it is the amount of natural light or just how you catch that view over the park and the pool from almost every window. You get a calm feeling and honestly you would not guess you are only a few minutes from Al Khail Road or the Mall at Dubai Hills. 

What stands out straight away for me is the layout. All three bedrooms have their own private bathrooms and their own balconies. That is pretty rare even in Dubai Hills Estate. Every room feels open and yet somehow set apart for privacy which suits families or frankly anyone who likes a bit of space. The feeling is quite different from so many other apartments where rooms get squeezed together. Here you walk down a hall and you actually want to pause and look outside for a second just to watch the view. Sometimes you hear birds in the morning and once I watched a few joggers go by down at Dubai Hills Park. 

The main area – living room and dining is big enough that you can move things around and the place will still not feel crowded even when everyone is home. I pictured a big sofa in the corner and long evenings watching TV or friends coming over at the weekends. Actually the bedrooms are a bit of a surprise too. Each one feels almost like its own little retreat. You can just imagine reading on the balcony or maybe having a morning coffee out there since the park is always right in front. Little touches like that just make it easy to relax into the place from day one. 

Kitchen wise this is not some shiny just for show kind of space – it feels like somewhere you would cook for real. Plenty of countertop space and lots of storage and you could see yourself making breakfast on a lazy weekend or even having the kids help somehow. Being a closed kitchen it is nice that you can shut the door when guests come over if you are in the middle of making something. Honestly a lot of people like that privacy. Residents here at Acacia get to enjoy more than just what is inside. The building opens right onto Dubai Hills Park. I actually saw a few families heading out for evening strolls and you could hear kids laughing in the playground which is a nice sound if you are into community living. There is a gym downstairs and a big swimming pool that is pretty popular but never feels crowded. The landscaping is lush and keeps things feeling cool even on the warmer afternoons. You are only a quick stroll to the Dubai Hills Mall when you need anything or just want a coffee. Even if you do not spend much time at home it always feels good to return here.
