Honestly I think the first thing you end up doing here is slowing your pace a little. Maybe it is something about the air moving in from Biscayne Bay or just how wide everything feels. This seven bedroom villa at 350 Harbor Dr. in Key Biscayne is one of those homes that has a way of making you step inside and just breathe out. I remember the Miami skyline kind of shimmering in the background which, if you are coming back at sunset, ends up looking almost unreal from that backyard terrace. It is such a big plot too actually over twenty three thousand square feet so you do not feel pressed up against the neighbors. There is actual quiet even with the city fairly close by.
You have well over eight thousand square feet to move around inside which means there are all these places to just stop for a bit or maybe find a little corner for yourself. The ceilings are tall pretty much everywhere and those windows—floor to ceiling in so many spots—make the place feel like it is opening towards the bay. I stayed for a while on the main terrace looking at the pool and you could hear little splashes and the birds somewhere off to the side. Sometimes it just feels easy. Someone who actually loves cooking would enjoy the outdoor BBQ and kitchen setup out back. You can see the pool from there but you do not get all the noise if you just want to be out making coffee in the morning or grilling when friends come by.
One thing people mention is the master suite being right there on the first floor. It is private but not cut off you know and there is an office or library space built in so if you need to work or take a call you don't need to walk through the main living areas. Upstairs there are four bedrooms and every one of them has its own bathroom plus terraces if you want to step out and get air. Sometimes at night when you walk out onto the second floor terrace you can see the boats out in the bay and the city lights off on the horizon. That view is the kind of thing you never really get bored of.
Honestly families seem to love the double staircases a little detail but it makes moving from the second level down to the yard or over to the kitchen just a bit easier. Even if you have kids running around or guests coming and going. Two more bedrooms are set up for staff or extra guests whatever you need really and all these spaces are finished to a high standard without feeling too fancy to relax in.
A gated entrance makes it feel even more private. You pull in off Harbor Drive and park in a real enclosed garage. Not always common around here but very helpful when summer rain shows up. The backyard sort of wraps around the pool and there is a covered area where you can all sit out when it's midday and just too warm to be in full sun. The dock out front is not just for show either. It holds a proper boat lift good for heavier vessels and you almost always see at least one neighbor heading out to fish or just spend some time on the water. Just regular life in this part of Miami.
Key Biscayne itself has a neighborhood feeling in the best ways. Coffee shops are never far. Sometimes you see kids biking along Harbor Drive in the evening or the golf carts heading down to the beach. You walk to local shops or ride over to dinner and the city feels close when you want it but far enough when you do not.
It is kind of impossible to get the feeling of a villa like this until you are here for real walking through maybe stopping by the window to watch the sun hit the bay. If you want to see what it's like or just have questions let me know whenever. At LuxuryProperty.com we are here to make your next move feel as comfortable as possible and the rest just sort of falls into place.
