Some homes really do slow you down the second you step inside. This three bedroom apartment at Oceana Residences on Palm Jumeirah is one of those. When I first walked in, it just felt open and breezy and actually kind of peaceful for such a big place. The marina skyline and promenade are always right there in the background but not shouting for attention. I found myself just leaning on the balcony rail for a while, letting the view do its thing. Honestly you can hear a bit of the sea in the quiet moments. It has that kind of energy.

The living and dining areas are bigger than most of the new builds I have seen lately. You can genuinely stretch out here and it still does not feel crowded. There is this nice flow between the spaces so it is easy picturing friends drifting from the soft couches to the balcony during an evening get together. Semi open kitchens have become the go to for a reason and the design here is spot on. You could actually cook for a gathering or just set up morning coffee for yourself. The sunlight is gentle in the morning and somehow never really goes away with the big balcony doors. Sometimes apartments feel like boxes but this does not at all.

Bedrooms all have their own bathroom which is a plus you will notice if you have lived anywhere with kids or flatmates. The wardrobes are built in so you do not need to worry about where the suitcases or extra holiday gear is going to hide. The main bedroom has a view if you are the type who likes to wake up to something besides just a wall. That always helps with the early mornings. The other two bedrooms have their own charm and pick up plenty of quiet in the evenings. You would never know the city is as close as it is.

Oceana always stands out to me because it is not just somewhere to sleep. The whole setup is more like a resort feel but you get to actually live there. The infinity pool looks right across the water and it is not unusual seeing neighbours swimming laps early before heading off to work. The private beach is probably what I like best. You can just grab a towel and wander down whenever the day gives you a few spare moments. Evenings are my favourite though. The sun drops behind the buildings and a really warm light comes through the glass, even lighting up the marina in the distance.

Gym fans seem pretty happy here. The fitness club has actual equipment you will use rather than just the basics. It is the sort of place you might actually stick to your early morning routine or maybe you do yoga while looking out at the ocean. And when you want to go somewhere for coffee or to meet friends, you do not have to drive far. Nahkeel Mall is close enough to walk but The Pointe is another good option with plenty of places to meet up or eat out. Sometimes you spot families heading out down the promenade or catch the odd delivery guy zipping round with dinner.

Palm Jumeirah itself is never boring. You see kids biking on the trunk and there is always something new opening up in the area. Beach living can sometimes feel a bit cut off but here it is the opposite. You have everything close and still get a real escape from the city noise. Some homes just manage to have that sweet spot between private and connected. This is definitely one of those.

Honestly the only way to know if this place feels like home is to come see for yourself. Walk out onto that balcony, check out the light in the living room, maybe wander down to the sand.
