The outside almost looks like something you would find in Tuscany if you ever visited Italy, all warm and inviting, but there is a distinct Dubai energy in the way the space opens up the moment you walk in. You go through this stately entrance and suddenly you are in a courtyard style lobby which is just the kind of place where people would actually hang out instead of just passing through. I found myself pausing in the middle for a second and thinking how rare it is to get a welcome like that inside your own home.

Honestly, one of the great things is how the villa does not try too hard to be something it is not. Boutique shopping is just a couple of minutes away if that is your thing. The Burj Al Arab is pretty much in your line of sight on some afternoons. Downtown Dubai is a short drive and even the airport is less than a half hour if you have to travel a lot.
