Some apartments just slow you down the moment you walk in. I remember standing by the huge window of this place up in The Palm Tower and, honestly, forgetting what I came in to see. You cannot help it. The view really does grab you first. You look across those glass panes and there it is the sea and then the iconic sweep of Palm Jumeirah and of course that head-on look at both the Atlantis and the Royal Atlantis. Whenever I am here sometimes the sky feels bigger and the air kind of stays quiet for a second. It sounds like a big statement but you actually will feel it yourself in person. This corner unit is way up high not so far from the clouds and you get this view that you just do not find anywhere else on the island. As the day goes by the city changes out there the sunlight and boats moving around from Dubai Marina to Bluewaters Island and the distant line of Dubai Eye over the water.

Step inside and you get a sense that it is an easy space to live in. No fuss really. The apartment is fully furnished which means you could just bring your bags and start enjoying that view right from day one. Sometimes furnished homes feel a little bit impersonal but here the colours are pretty calm and gentle. If you want to add your own things it just works. Maybe a favorite chair or a bit of artwork from the markets at Alserkal and it would still feel right. Floors and textiles are soft but everything just feels like it will last too. All those fixtures the kitchen taps any of the lighting it is all finished to quite a high standard. The kitchen itself has this simple breakfast bar and you can just imagine making coffee there with that view out the glass. Sometimes you really will want to cook not just order takeaway and that makes the whole space feel like home. The bedroom felt a bit like a retreat for me with its walk-in closet space and the way the morning light sneaks in past the curtains. There is enough room to get ready without tripping over anyone. Plus the bathroom is pretty special. There is a separate shower as well as a bathtub and even double sinks so you will not be waiting to brush your teeth if you are in a hurry.

Now about the building. The Palm Tower is one of those places where visitors sort of stop and look up for a minute. It just stands out. Living here you find out it is not just tall it is also right in the middle of Palm Jumeirah itself. The world famous St Regis Hotel is right in the same address so all those luxury amenities are not just promised they are actually a few steps away. There is a gym you can use whenever you want and staff that know your name plus a concierge that is helpful but never in your way. And honestly the pool on the top floor just takes it up another level. That infinity pool sits on the 50th and gives you a complete 360 degree look at the entire coastline. I have watched a sunset up there once and even if it sounds cliche it actually makes you feel lucky to be here.

You also get access to the St Regis beach club which just opens up your days to being outside. Sometimes you see people heading out in the early morning with their coffee or couples taking an evening stroll by the sand. And the Nakheel Mall is connected here so you just wander over when you need groceries or want to meet a friend for lunch at one of those little cafes. Club Vista Mare is down the road and you catch families out in the evenings sometimes the restaurants fill up and it is an easy walk home after.

All said this is one of those rare one bedroom apartments at The Palm Tower that people really enjoy living in or can rent out straight away if that is your plan.
