Some places just make you slow down the second you walk in. This studio apartment up at The Palm Tower on Palm Jumeirah is definitely one of them. Before I even sat down, I found myself standing by the window for a while, just watching the city stretch out all around. The view changes through the day. Sometimes you catch a bit of the sunrise glinting off the water. At night you get a full sweep of city lights that seem to go on forever. And honestly, it is quiet up here. The kind of quiet that makes you want to just breathe for a second and soak it all in.
The apartment is fully furnished but it does not feel crowded. Whoever picked out these pieces has a good sense for what actually works in a place like this. There is a big comfortable bed that faces the windows so waking up feels a bit like living in a holiday photo. Tucked into one corner you will find a real desk that makes working from home pretty pleasant. You get the natural light all day so even a long work afternoon does not feel boxed in. The little kitchen is set up for real use too and not just for heating up takeaway. There is space for you to actually stash proper groceries and try out something new if you feel like cooking. In the evening you can sit with a coffee or just stream your favorite show and watch the sunset hit the skyline. Life just feels simple up here.
Living in The Palm Tower is more than just this comfortable apartment. The building is home to St Regis The Palm so it feels more like a resort than anything else. Residents have access to the facilities of St Regis Beach Club. Sometimes you will spot families heading out to paddle in the water or people just reading by the pool, looking completely relaxed. The stretch of private beach goes for what feels like forever. There are places to sit, restaurants that honestly serve food you will want to eat more than once, and a gym that is much brighter and fresher than most hotel gyms I have seen. If you are still feeling adventurous you can walk out along the pier for a view that reminds you why people love Palm Jumeirah.
The tower is one of the tallest on the island and up on the fiftieth floor you get one of the highest infinity pools in Dubai. It almost feels unreal the first time you see the view from the edge. There is a restaurant one level up with food that suits what you are craving, whether that is something simple or a real treat. At the very top is a viewing deck that lets you watch the water, the Palm and the city all at once. Sometimes on a clear day you can see all the way across the Gulf.
The studio feels private but you are only a quick walk to Nakheel Mall which has everything you need day to day. Most people find themselves popping over without even thinking. The Boardwalk is nearby if you want an evening walk with a view or you just feel like a run by the water. Even though you are out on the iconic Palm, it does not take long to get onto the mainland. The road links are simple and getting an Uber or parking if you have your own car is easy.
The truth is, Palm Jumeirah has its own pace. You will notice people out on their balconies in the mornings with a coffee. Sometimes you even catch a group of friends gathering for sunset. Kids sometimes bike near the tower and the whole place just feels safe and easy. This apartment would work just as well for someone who wants a flexible base in Dubai as it would for someone who wants a change of scene and a place to just be.
The only way you will really know if it feels like home is to come see it yourself. If you have questions or just want to have a look and talk through how life here fits you, I am always happy to help. At LuxuryProperty.com we try to make things easy and relaxed so you can move in when it feels right for you.
