Some homes just have a way of making you pause. This three bedroom apartment at Serenia Residences really does that. I wandered in and actually ended up just leaning by the windows for a while, watching the way the morning light hits the water all the way to Atlantis. There is something calming about it. Partly, it's the views, or maybe the space inside, or maybe just the quiet you sometimes forget exists in Dubai.
The apartment sits out on the east crescent of Palm Jumeirah so you get this sweeping look at the Marina skyline, then the green fronds of the Palm right below you, and then off to the Atlantis hotel at the edge. There is a huge balcony that sort of wraps right around the living area. It is honestly the sort of place you can actually imagine yourself spending an evening outside with friends, the air just a little salty from the sea and the sound of waves in the background. Some nights you hear the gentle buzz of boats out at sea or catch a bit of music on the breeze. And if you wake up early, which I do sometimes, you get these incredible sunrises over the water that are just wide open and completely unobstructed.
Inside, you'll notice the living and dining areas are wide and open, nothing feels cramped. The floor to ceiling windows make everything feel lighter, even on days when it is a bit cloudy. The kitchen is proper as well, not just for warming things up but actually big enough and set out well enough that you'd enjoy cooking. All the appliances are in good shape and the cabinets have this glossy contemporary style but they are sturdy. If you have help, there's a maid's room tucked away just behind the main living space, so it keeps everything nicely separated.
Down the hallway, you find three bedrooms. Each one has its own bathroom plus built in wardrobes. The master bedroom is always the one people want to see first and honestly with good reason. It has a proper walk in dressing room between the bedroom and bathroom, which feels almost like having your own mini suite inside the apartment. I always think it is just easy to imagine starting and ending your day here without stepping over anyone's stuff or feeling boxed in.
The vibe at Serenia Residences really is like living in a good resort but with that sense of privacy you want in your own home. If you are into fitness or just want to swim, the infinity pool is the star, flowing right out towards the beach. There's a lap pool as well for days when you want to swim a few lengths, and a children's pool that actually gets used by little ones most afternoons. The gym is kitted out with everything you would need, all tucked into the West Wing tower. The staff are pretty friendly and there is this quiet feeling of the place being well kept without feeling sterile or overdone.
Getting around is easy. The Waldorf Astoria and Anantara are both close so grabbing good food or having friends over at one of their beach cafes just sort of becomes part of your normal options. Sometimes you see people out running along the crescent or just grabbing a coffee up the street. Life moves a bit slower here, even though the city is never far.
This apartment is for sale at seven million three hundred fifty thousand AED and the built up area covers two thousand eight hundred eighty five square feet. Honestly, numbers aside, it just feels like the sort of place where you might stop checking your phone for a bit and just look out at the water. That is rare in Dubai.
Anyway, the only real way to know if Serenia Residences is a fit is to walk through and see how it feels for yourself.
