Some places just feel like you want to stay a bit longer the second you step in. This one bedroom apartment in Azure Residences Palm Jumeirah is a really good example honestly. I walked in and had that feeling you get on weekends when you finally slow down for a bit. The light pulls you in straight away all coming from these giant floor to ceiling windows and the sea just kind of fills up the view no matter where you stand. I actually put my phone down for a while and just watched a yacht drift past for a minute. You kind of forget you're right in the middle of Palm Jumeirah because it just feels calm.

You get good high end fittings as well and all the fixtures just feel solid and new which is not something you find everywhere on the Palm. Even the powder room near the entrance is handy for guests so you do not have to stress when friends drop by last minute.

There is something about the finishes here that is just a little bit elevated but not too flashy. You'll notice it in the bathroom too all the fittings feel very sturdy and there is enough room to move around. That terrace though is where I ended up sitting for a while just looking out at the ocean. At sunset the colour of the sky and the water really starts to blend and it feels like a completely different place from the city. Sometimes you can hear people chatting on the beach below or kids laughing during a swim. It is honestly peaceful even on busy weekends.

You get so many amenities when you are living at Azure Residences. The rooftop gym is one of those spots that make you want to actually go work out with all that glass and the view of the Dubai skyline and sea around you. The ground floor infinity pool feels right out of a resort and there's a private beach where you can just wander over after work. There is even a grocery store in the building so you really do not have to leave unless you want to go out for something special. There is a restaurant right on the breakwater that is pretty popular with residents here so you end up eating outside a lot more than you might plan for.

Getting to the rest of the Palm is easy. Nakheel Mall is just up the road and Atlantis is close enough for a quick dinner or a bit of weekend fun. The Boardwalk is there for those evening strolls if you are the type who likes to get in some steps after work. You also get quick access to the Dubai mainland which is a big deal on busy days.
