1 Bedroom Apartment in Anantara Residences, Palm Jumeirah

Some homes just make you want to forget the rush of the day as soon as you walk through the door. That is what happened when I stepped into this one bedroom apartment up on a higher floor at Anantara Residences, right here on the Palm Jumeirah. The first thing I found myself doing was stopping by the living room window and just looking out for a while. There is something about seeing that wide sea view and the Burj Al Arab sitting out in the distance. If you open up the balcony door there is always a bit of a breeze and sometimes you might even hear the sound of the waves especially later in the evening.

You will probably notice spending time here feels really natural which is not always true in those picture-perfect show units. The wooden parquet flooring feels warm when you leave your shoes by the door. The living room is actually a place you can stretch out and relax. I could imagine bringing friends over with everyone sitting by the windows or even just sinking into a book on a lazy weekend morning. The light here genuinely is different. Those floor to ceiling windows do the trick and it just keeps every room bright pretty much all day long. Even on a cloudy day you are never squinting to read your screen or looking for a switch.

The kitchen was a surprise for me because it is not just decorative. There is space to cook for real and store things properly. Someone thoughtfully planned it for people who like real home meals and not just takeout. Moving into the bedroom you will see there is direct access out to the balcony and that means you can start every morning with fresh sea air if you feel like it. The master suite includes a proper walk in closet so if you are someone who likes having all your shirts organized or needs a bit of extra room for shoes it does not disappoint. The en suite bathroom is neat and finished well but not fussy. It is all updated and clean and you do not feel cramped at all.

This apartment comes fully furnished so if you are the kind of person who just wants to walk in with a suitcase and be done you will appreciate the convenience. The furniture suits the space and has a simple style which keeps the whole place relaxed. Nothing feels overly formal. Honestly sometimes you can just sit down and start scrolling through the options of what to do next because you do not really want to leave but the Palm Jumeirah has a way of pulling you out. You are never far from a coffee shop or kids are usually out biking near the hotel entrance and you feel that casual neighborhood energy.

Anantara Residences is known for its five star hotel service which honestly does spoil you a little. The private beach is right downstairs so you never have to plan your day around a drive and the pools are just as good as the ones at the main resort. You can have access to a gym that is always kept spotless and there is a spa and sauna for when you want to slow things down a bit. If you like tennis or want to get the kids into sports that is sorted here too. A good thing is they really look after all the details so valet parking is always there for you and your visitors do not have to stress about finding a spot. Plus with several dining outlets within walking distance there is always something new to try if you do not feel like cooking or driving out.
