Some places just slow you down the minute you walk in. This two bedroom apartment at The Address Jumeirah Resort in Jumeirah Beach Residence really does that for me. Maybe it is the way the light comes through those tall windows or maybe just the sight of the sea almost everywhere you look. Either way you will probably find yourself lingering for a minute too. Before you even start picturing where your furniture goes just stand by the glass for a second and see the whole stretch of the beach and Ain Dubai right there in front of you. It changes a bit every hour as the sky goes from bright blue to those orange clouds as the sun sets. You will probably catch boats passing by too. Sometimes you just want to sit with your coffee and let the world turn for a while.

Inside the space is actually modern and simple in a way that feels fresh not cold. It is open plan so the living and kitchen sort of blend into each other meaning if you are cooking you are still part of everything going on out here. I like that detail. Bluewaters Island is connected so sometimes you end up going there for a coffee or just for a change of scenery. The restaurants in the area are hard to beat and if you like shopping or movies you are honestly set. Weekends here are different depending on your mood you can be out and about or tucked away at home listening to the water.

Living at Jumeirah Beach Residence means you are close to pretty much everything. The shops and restaurants are pretty much around the corner. The promenade is busy in the evenings and not just with residents so you get a real sense that things are happening. Getting around Dubai is simple from here too. Even if you end up driving to work during the week it never really feels too far.
