Some homes just have a certain magic the second you walk in and this two bedroom apartment at Ashjar in Al Barari really surprised me like that. I stopped at the entry and sort of breathed in how peaceful it felt. You can always tell when a place is looked after with care and this one actually has that warmth most new apartments do not quite manage. Even though you are not far from Dubai's city center, honestly once you get up to this high floor you hear pretty much nothing except maybe the birds in the mornings. Al Barari has this reputation for making you slow down and I think you feel that straight away when you see all the trees everywhere and the way the pathways feel soft under your shoes.
Wandering around the apartment itself, you will probably notice everything is neat but not cold. The layout is open and feels easy to live in. Sunlight starts pouring in as soon as the day kicks off because most of the walls are basically huge windows. Sitting in the living room, it all feels calm and grown up. If you like that kind of honest luxury where nothing shouts for your attention but everything is just right, you will get what I mean. I really like the way they kept all the finishes light and simple inside, so you will not feel closed in even on slow afternoons. Sometimes it feels like the big terrace is stealing the show though. You end up drifting out there, maybe barefoot with a cup of coffee, looking out over the gardens and kind of forgetting for a minute you are even in a city at all. Evenings are nice with all the trees catching the last bit of sunlight and sometimes you catch a breeze that makes you want to stay out there a little longer.
The bedrooms each feel like their own little retreat and you get proper built in storage that actually works, not those fussy ones that never open right. It is quiet at night and you can hear the outside in a gentle way so sleeping comes easy. The bathrooms, I have to mention, are bigger than usual and have these smart clean lines. The water pressure is solid too which you really appreciate after a workout or a long day. Speaking of workouts, Body Language health club is nearby so there is no excuse not to pop in for a swim or just to use the gym when you want. Some residents even take yoga classes there, and you see people heading down tree lined paths in lounge clothes in the evenings.
If you like a weekend brunch or coffee, The Farm restaurant is only a short walk away. I went by on a weekday and the food was just fresh, with loads of greens on the plates and honestly a good spot if you want to meet friends or just spend time by yourself. For families, there are usually kids biking around the main park in the later afternoons but it never feels crowded. The whole place is landscaped in a way that everything blends into the greenery so even the pools and spa feel private.
The neat thing about living at Ashjar in Al Barari is how it manages to bring you proper luxury living but not in a showy way. You get all those extras that actually make a difference, like security that watches but does not hover and a management team that actually picks up the phone if you call. It all feels natural and gentle and honestly you forget about things like traffic and noise once you are here.
Anyway, the only way to know if it really feels right is to come walk around and see for yourself. If you have any questions or just want to get the feel of the place, let me know. At LuxuryProperty.com, that is what we do best. We will help make your next move as comfortable as it can be.
