Some homes just have that quiet kind of calm as soon as you walk in. This two bedroom apartment at Ashjar in Al Barari feels like one of those places. I found myself just stopping for a second in the entrance taking a bit of a breath and listening to the way the sounds outside just sort of fade away. If you know Al Barari already you probably know it is known for feeling more like a lush garden than a piece of Dubai. Almost two thirds of the whole place is just green. Walking around you mostly hear birds or maybe water from fountains instead of cars which is honestly rare here.
Now about the apartment itself. It sits right in one of the low buildings that make Ashjar sort of unique for Dubai. Nothing is crowded or tall. The space inside is honestly huge for a two bedroom. Over three thousand square feet. It almost feels more like a house than an apartment when you stretch out your arms. The thing I kept noticing is how much light there is. Full length windows go from the floor up. Even on a not so sunny day you do not feel closed in at all. When the sun comes through late afternoon you really get these big warm patches on the floor. There is a main terrace too that just pulls you outside without trying. I stood there for a bit and just looked out over the trees. You could actually have dinner out here most nights if you wanted or just sit with a book and a drink.
Inside the kitchen everything is set up for real cooking. Not just the pretty look. Miele appliances tucked in clean cabinets so nothing is cluttered. There is a spot for everything so you are not searching for space every time you want to make a meal. If you actually like to bake or try new recipes you will have enough room to move around. The living area flows right from here too. There is no sharp edge between rooms. You just wander wherever you need and it feels easy. I do not know if it is the way they kept the colors really soft and neutral or just the amount of open space but honestly it gives you some calm.
Bedrooms both have a bit of their own zone for privacy and both come with big walk-in wardrobes. You know how in some places you are just cramming clothes in a corner here you could fit more than you think. The master suite especially gives you a little retreat. Wake up in the morning and the birds are sometimes the first thing you notice.
Living in Ashjar at Al Barari comes with a few things you do not find much in Dubai. The Farm is just a short walk. The food there is actually really good and the coffee tastes even better if you take it out on their terrace. Heart and Soul Spa is across the community then there is Body Language health club if you are into working out. The whole place is linked by little tree covered paths so sometimes I see people just wandering in the evenings or kids biking slowly to the park areas. Even on a hot day it feels a few degrees cooler when you are walking under so much shade.
Location wise you are not far from the city at all. But most days you forget you are even in Dubai. Groceries and places to eat are five minutes away. It is just quiet. And people who pick Al Barari are usually looking for more of that kind of lifestyle. Peaceful not showy.
I would say this apartment feels a lot like a proper home more than a normal apartment. Spacious but not cold. Luxurious but inviting. If you are thinking of living somewhere that gives you green views out every window and a real sense of privacy without being far from everything important this might be one to check.
The only way you really see if it feels right for you is to walk through for yourself. If you want to visit or just talk through anything you are wondering about let me know. At LuxuryProperty.com we try to make finding your next place feel easy and comfortable. No pressure just real advice.
