The Floating Seahorse, The World Islands
Some homes honestly just make you pause for a second as you walk in. This two bedroom villa at The Floating Seahorse over on The World Islands is definitely one of those places. I remember my first time stepping in and honestly, it felt like being somewhere you see in a movie. The strange thing is it's peaceful even though the whole experience is a little surreal. Picture this. The Dubai skyline way out in the distance across the water, a salty breeze, and almost no sound except waves and the odd boat.
What's wild is that your living room, kitchen, and dining area are all open, spilled together under a big skylight. It lets in all this gentle natural light that moves around the space throughout the day and I found myself just following the sun spots sometimes, like a cat would. The place feels super calm with all the wood and marble touches, and you get these big floor to ceiling windows that basically frame the sea for you. You look up sometimes and forget for a minute how close you are to downtown Dubai because it feels so far away from the busy part of the city.
It is split over three levels. Right on top, you get your own rooftop terrace. I am not just talking about a spot for a chair, either, but a rooftop that actually holds a Jacuzzi and a dining space under a second skylight. I stood up here for a while and it just struck me, how private it feels with just the ocean all around, and you even get a patch up there with shade. Imagine evenings here when the light starts to change and there is hardly anyone else to see. Some people say the stars are amazing too, especially when there are fewer city lights out here on The World Islands.
Honestly though, the underwater level is what you never forget. Your bedrooms are literally under the sea. When I peeked in, I saw fish floating past close enough to count and it sort of changes the idea of what a home can be. The glass walls down there really work. Waking up like that most mornings would be unforgettable, and I bet it is extra quiet too. Sometimes you can just sit and watch for a while, like a kind of private aquarium but more real.
What I like as well is, you are not locked into a strict design. If you want to add a bit more space inside or maybe adjust that terrace up top, you can. Everything here is designed to be customizable so you can make it yours and not just another show villa.
You are close to comfort too. The World Islands are becoming their own world in a sense. If you are thinking weekend breakfast, there are luxury resorts around with their own fine dining and even some high end shops if you ever feel like browsing. Coffee when you want it, short boat rides to the mainland, or even a seaplane if you are in a hurry or want to see Dubai from the air. It just feels like a mix of holiday life and being right at home. No traffic stress out here. Sometimes you will spot couples walking the little beaches or even see kayakers passing by after lunch.
If you are after something really unique and private but still want all the five star living, this villa just works. It is unfurnished at the moment so you can bring in your own style and slowly make it feel like home. The sense of space with over four thousand square feet means there is room to spread out but it never feels empty.
The only way to really get it is to come see the villa for yourself and feel if it's you. If you have any questions, or just want to take a look around and see those underwater bedrooms, just let me know. At LuxuryProperty.com, we want to make sure your move feels comfortable from start to finish. Reach out any time, and happy to help you find your own place out on The World Islands.
