Palace Residences, Dubai Creek Harbour
Some apartments have a way of making you pause at the doorway and just soak up the view. That is how I felt the first time I walked into this two bedroom place at Palace Residences over at Dubai Creek Harbour. Seriously you can almost hear the buzz on the marina from up here and the water just keeps pulling your eyes back for another look. It does not try too hard it is just easy to imagine living here for real.
You get these huge windows and before you even notice the finishes or the furniture you see how the sunlight just spills over everything. I found myself just leaning on the balcony rail for a few minutes watching boats wind along the Creek and I could see families wandering by below heading toward Creek Beach for a swim or just an evening stroll. It is honestly one of those places where you forget you are in a busy city. The towers here are modern and pretty striking even from a distance and the tallest parts are high enough that you really feel the open sky above. I think it is the kind of building you remember late at night when the lights come on along the waterfront. It always looks a little special.
Inside this apartment there are two good bedrooms and the floorspace feels bigger than you might expect at just over one thousand square feet. The living room and kitchen sort of blend together so if someone is cooking you are never off in another room. I could really see someone hosting friends here or just sharing a quiet night on the sofa with music coming in soft from the speakers. The kitchen itself is not just for show. Honestly you sense that you could actually get stuck into a real meal with everything laid out just right plenty of storage and a spot for a coffee machine that just calls out for a morning routine.
The bedrooms both have big views too and it is not rare to catch the sun bouncing off the water early in the day. Sometimes you see flocks of birds out near Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary and if you are lucky you might spot the flamingos that gather out there in winter. Closet space is simple but enough and it never feels cluttered. The bathrooms go with that same relaxing palette. It is all about making you feel unhurried. There is that nice hotel style touch but it still feels like a home at the end of the day.
Now if you are after amenities I have to say Palace Residences spoils you a bit. There is a rooftop lounge that tends to get a quiet golden light in the evenings and you see people just unwinding with a book or a casual catch up. There is a proper gym and a pool that stretches out with an infinity edge right over the marina. You get a little bit of that feeling like you are on holiday even if it has been a busy week. The spa downstairs is pretty popular and you would probably find yourself using it more than you think. And the best thing is all that hotel service means you can leave the chores behind for a while. The concierge is there around the clock and it really does make daily life smoother.
Stepping outside you have the Creek promenade where you see joggers in the early morning and kids playing by the water in the evenings. Coffee shops pop up within a couple of minutes walk. Sometimes families bring picnics out at sunset and you get those city views with all the new towers lighting up further down the creek. There is a bit of a neighbourhood feel here even though Dubai Creek Harbour is still pretty fresh on the map.
Truth is you have to stand in this space to get how peaceful it feels. If you are thinking about Dubai Creek Harbour living reach out any time.
