Some places just kind of stop you in your tracks for a second and Volante has that effect straight away. When I walked into this three bedroom apartment on the Dubai Canal side I found myself drifting over to the windows and just standing there for a bit. The light comes pouring through from every angle because you get those tall windows almost wrapping all around. You can watch the canal boats slide by or you might even catch a bit of the Burj Khalifa peeking out in the distance. It is one of those stretches of Business Bay where the city feels close but also kind of peaceful somehow.

That Jordanian limestone gives a little texture and the travertine from Italy is honestly just nice to touch. There is a practical side too. You get staff quarters here as well as a useful storage room so if you actually live in your home and do not just use it as a place to drop your bags now and then it should suit you. And with all the smart home controls it is surprisingly simple to set just the light or the temperature you want. You can almost forget about the daily stuff.

The bedrooms all have that feeling of space. Sunlight moves across the floors most of the day and glass on nearly every wall means you are never far from whatever skyline you want to look at. Bathrooms feel more like spa spaces and if you live with family or have guests it should work out just fine.

Of course at Volante you also have some really good facilities. The outdoor pool always looks inviting. There is a café downstairs if you need a quick espresso or just want to read for a bit. If you work from home there are business rooms and even a cinema space for movie nights. The neighbourhood has both quiet pockets and a little buzz too neighbors going for a stroll at sunset or the odd new restaurant popping up along the canal.
