Penthouse, Beverly Hills, California
Some homes just pause you at the door. There is something about this penthouse at the top of a twelve story tower in Beverly Hills that makes you breathe a little slower and look right out at those endless Los Angeles views. I stood by the sliding glass wall for a moment and just watched as the city moved quietly below. You get one view out over the green swells of the famous Beverly Hills and from another side you see downtown LA pushing out toward the ocean. It is not every day you find an apartment in Beverly Hills that feels as big as a house but opens up to the skyline like this. Honestly it is almost exactly the kind of California living you imagine but rarely find in real life.
Location matters a lot and here you are kind of spoiled because you are right between the energy of Melrose and all the late afternoon walks that people love in Beverly Hills. Sometimes I would just hear snippets of music drifting up from one of the coffee shops below or someone whistling as they hurry by. Even so there is this strong sense of calm when you are up here. The noise and sharp edges of city life sort of fade once you are settling into the living space. You will notice the way those famous Neutra style glass walls fold away making the inside and the outside feel almost like one space especially when the sun is pouring in during the morning. I almost forgot my phone just standing by those windows with the light coming in and sometimes that is the sign of a real home.
The penthouse itself has a layout that honestly surprises some people. You get more room than you expect in Los Angeles especially in a four bedroom apartment. Every bedroom easily fits a real bed and then still leaves you space for a desk if you need it. The main bedroom has two things I think people always want in Beverly Hills but rarely get—a proper view and a closet where you do not have to squeeze your things in. The bathrooms do not try to do too much. You will spot the quality just by touching the counters or even the doors and everything just feels solid and right in your hands.
The kitchen is actually my favorite part most days. It is made to cook real meals and feels like the center of the home but not cut off from the rest of the living space. There is this long stretch where you can pour coffee while talking with friends or put up snacks for a small get together and it just all works. The layout makes entertaining in this Penthouse feel almost effortless. And the best thing is you can see out to the skyline while you are doing it which is not something you get every day in Beverly Hills.
Small details do make a difference and you will also notice the care that has gone into all those little touches. Warm lighting that makes the art on the walls pop but never feels too much. Doors that shut with a satisfying sound and windows that are actually easy to open to let the air in. There is even a rooftop garden upstairs I could see myself reading in for hours just watching the sky or sharing the space with a few friends in the evenings. It feels like a home not just a showpiece.
As for the building you get everything that comes with a true luxury penthouse in Beverly Hills. The staff know faces and seem to have that perfect balance between being available and giving you space. The gym has real equipment people actually use and the pool gets the kind of afternoon sun Los Angeles is famous for. On weekends you might walk out and see people with their dogs or heading for brunch and it reminds you this part of Beverly Hills is still a neighborhood at heart.
The only way to know if this penthouse is the right match for you is to see it in person. If you are curious about the space or just want to ask a few questions feel free to reach out to me.
