5 Bedroom Villa in Fire, Jumeirah Golf Estates

Some homes almost make you pause before you even know why. This five bedroom villa over in the Fire enclave at Jumeirah Golf Estates has that kind of feeling. I think it just hits you as you step inside and see that big entrance hall. The morning I first walked in, the soft light was coming through the windows and I actually stood there for a while just letting it soak in. Jumeirah Golf Estates is easily one of Dubai's greenest, quietest spots, but this particular home makes that calm even more obvious.

You find yourself moving slowly through the main floor. The entrance is grand but not in that show-off way. Off to one side you find a bedroom tucked away which feels ideal if you want a guest or family member to have a bit of privacy on the ground floor. There's an elevator here too, which might sound like a small detail, but honestly when you try it you start imagining how easy life could be upstairs and down without dragging groceries or luggage.

The main living space opens up to such a wide area you could almost throw a football, not that you would. The formal living and dining area looks out over probably one of my favourite back gardens in Orange Lake. Sweet spot for dinners with a view of grown palm trees swaying outside. Plus there's a separate family room for when you want to keep things casual. The kitchen is serious in here, kitted out with proper Miele appliances so you'll see this is definitely a place that's made for real cooking, not just heating up something from Deliveroo. There is a big island in the middle where friends would probably gather around and chat while someone cooks.

People often ask about storage. It's well thought out here. The first floor holds four more bedrooms, all spacious, all with their own bathrooms. The wardrobes are built in, and a couple even have actual walk-in dressing rooms, so if you're into shoes or need extra luggage space, you're sorted. You'll also find the master suite upstairs, and it really feels like a retreat. You wake up in the morning, walk out to your own terrace, and there's that newly landscaped garden below. I spent a few minutes out there and heard pretty much nothing except a bit of wind and birds. Not much car noise ever reaches this part of the estate.

Back downstairs and outside, the garden is one of those spots you can tell somebody put heart into. There's a dining terrace where I imagine you could host long weekend barbecues or maybe just read a book after work. The pool was recently upgraded and has this gentle water sound that's actually relaxing. There's an extra outdoor washroom as well, which honestly just makes cleanups after swimming so much easier. Whole space feels well cared for.

Living at Jumeirah Golf Estates also means the clubhouse is never far off. You get access to the golf club, two more swimming pools, dining options and a sports bar. Some evenings you see neighbors walking or kids playing around which makes the community feel warm and lived in. And with this spot in Orange Lake, you feel private but you are still only a short drive from the city's busier areas.

It's worth knowing the villa comes unfurnished so you have a blank canvas to make it yours. Maintenance is looked after, which takes away a lot of the usual headaches.
