Some homes just stop you for a second when you walk in. That happened to me at this seven bedroom Spanish Mediterranean estate at 7737 Atlantic Way, Altos Del Mar. You find yourself just standing there for a moment, kind of soaking in that easy Miami Beach breeze through the open windows. I have to say, there is something about living this close to the ocean that you really feel. Sometimes you can even hear the waves when everything else is quiet. That kind of quiet you do not get just anywhere in Florida.
What makes this villa special is not just the space, although there is a lot of that. I mean three floors feels big to begin with, then you add in over six thousand nine hundred square feet so you really do not feel boxed in. The way it all comes together just feels calm and comfortable. The ceilings are high, the light pours in, and honestly, there are enough windows to watch the sunrise without even leaving your bedroom if you want. Every corner is finished off with these details that just say Spanish Mediterranean in the nicest way—lots of stone, a couple of warm arches, and these iron touches that are kind of timeless.
The kitchen is not just for show either. I love when you go into a place and the kitchen feels actually usable, like you could picture breakfast with friends on a random Sunday. There is a La Cornue range that honestly is nicer than anything I have in my own place, all set into marble countertops that look almost too clean to use. But then I can see the coffee cups on the counter and you know someone probably does use this place every day. If you love cooking or just like having space to spread out snacks, the kitchen here makes it easy.
You get a wine cellar tucked away that does not show off too much but has room for all your bottles, good ones and table wines too. There is an entertainment room which just feels right for evenings when people drop by, or just your family hanging out, plus a cozy fireplace. I know fireplaces in Miami seem unnecessary but I swear there are those rare evenings, even here, where it feels good to have one.
Now, stepping outside is one of my favorite things about this estate. The lot is big, sixteen thousand square feet is a huge bonus in this part of Miami Beach and you feel that outside. There is a real resort feel with the garden kind of winding around the pool and the deck. The outdoor kitchen is actually set up for real meals, not just the odd barbecue. You also get your own private path straight out to the ocean. I walked it myself and the first time you do, it is actually kind of amazing. No roads to cross or busy walkways, just you and some soft sand under your feet. I imagine early mornings here with the sky turning that peachy pink, all to yourself, or maybe late evenings when nobody else is out.
Altos Del Mar is one of those communities people talk about for a reason. Gated, quiet, and feels really private. Sometimes you see families out for a walk or just someone jogging with their dog, but it is not the kind of place with busy traffic or crowds. You are still close to everything Miami offers, though. A good cafe or a dinner out is always nearby. Kids can bike around and honestly, you can forget your car keys for a few days if you want.
If you are looking for a place that actually feels like home and not just a property, or if you just want somewhere you can see yourself settling for a long time, this villa at 7737 Atlantic Way is worth stepping into. The only way to know if it feels right is to come see it. If you have questions or you just want to walk through, reach out any time.
