I wandered over to the window and saw a bit of the city outside plus a good slice of greenery I honestly did not expect. Gardens and small parks are tucked around the building and if you listen carefully you might hear kids playing in the evenings or someone off in the distance practicing football on one of the courts. But standing inside, you feel something pretty peaceful. It is busy out there for sure—Dubai never slows down—but your own little world in here is pretty calm, which is not always easy to get these days.

Cooking feels easy in the kitchen. It is not a bare minimum one, you can actually set up a proper meal here. The living space just flows out from there and it is the type of spot where you could imagine inviting a couple friends for a laidback dinner. And the morning light—sometimes you might find yourself up early just to sit on the sofa and let the sun come in. The bedroom is tucked back so you get a little privacy and honestly I noticed how quiet it was in there when the door closed. That makes a huge difference for anyone who has moved around Dubai and found it hard to escape the buzz sometimes.

One of the better things here at Lilium Tower has to be the combination of lively community and this odd sense of peace that stays with you. You have great access to all the big spots—JBR if you want a coffee by the beach or Mall of the Emirates when you remember you need another set of towels. Palm Jumeirah is not far at all and even Global Village is easy to reach whenever that urge for something different comes up. Though if you just stay closer to home, you notice that everything settles down quickly in Jumeirah Village Triangle. People say hello when you pass them. The best little groceries and coffee shops are close enough that you will want to leave your car sometimes and just walk. You might catch yourself doing that—just wandering, looking up, not staring at your phone for once.

The tower itself, well, you can feel that a lot of care went into the design. It feels modern but it does not try too hard to impress. It just works. The shared areas are clean and actually looked after. Out front, there is always someone with a friendly wave and you'll find neighbours who nod or stop for a chat. Pretty soon it feels like a place you could settle into, not just stay for a while.
