Kids are often running along the beach late into the afternoon or you see neighbours reading under umbrellas. The pool is temperature controlled so even in the summer heat, it stays calm and cool. There is a gym too, surprisingly well equipped for a community, and a kids play area that actually gets used which says a lot. There is even a lazy river, which you only discover once you wander past the gardens. People drift along it reading or just catching a quick break. It is peaceful without being boring.

The thing about Palm Jumeirah is that everything is near but it never gets too crowded right in Oceana. You still have that local coffee shop a stroll away. You can walk out to dinner if you want or stay in and hear nothing but the breeze. The promenade is just steps out the front and people are always jogging in the early morning or walking their dogs. Supermarkets and restaurants, even a few barber shops, all tucked along the road nearby.
