Some places just feel different as soon as you walk in and honestly this five bedroom villa in La Reserva de Alcuzcuz up in Benahavis is one of them. The first time I got here it was early and the sky had that sort of peachy blue you only see on the coast. You get out of your car and it is quiet except for a little breeze rolling down from the mountains. If you have been around Marbella for a while you notice how this part just feels a touch more peaceful, a bit more private even though the city and all its beaches are never far. There are only eight homes in this whole gated community. Right now just four are even up for grabs which tells you how rare it is to find something like this.
Walking through the main gate there is this open feeling that hits you. The sea kind of wraps around your line of sight and then you get that sweep of mountains behind you. Standing on one of the upstairs balconies looking out you catch the sun glinting off the Mediterranean water. Some days you see sailboats out there dotted along the blue and other mornings you just have moving shadows from passing clouds. It is quiet enough to hear birds, actually. And sometimes you just stand still for a minute, taking it all in. You almost forget your phone is in your pocket.
Inside, things just work. There are five bedrooms, all with their own bathroom, which makes life way less hectic especially with family or some friends staying over. You might want to turn one into a study if you are like me and sometimes work from home because the natural light here keeps you focused but never feels harsh. The kitchen is properly laid out so cooking is not just for show. There is space for real family dinners or coffee mornings with friends where you talk too long and the view sort of fades into the background. All the kitchen fittings and appliances are finished for you. No need to wait or plan anything out. Underfloor heating is honestly the kind of thing you only miss if you ever go without it. On cool mornings or after a walk, it just makes everything feel welcoming.
Step onto the terrace and you get why people talk about Mediterranean living. The sun warms the floor under your feet and you look over your own private plot. With almost ten thousand square feet around you, kids can run, plants can grow, or you just sit in the shade with a book for hours. There is always some angle where you catch a new peek at the sea or mountains. It does not feel boxed in at all. You get privacy here but it never feels lonely because now and then you spot neighbours, or even kids biking along the paths.
Getting around is honestly simple. Marbella is maybe ten minutes away so picking up groceries or taking a last minute evening beach walk is never a hassle. Some really good golf courses are right nearby if you are into that or you can head to a cafe for a pastry when the weather is just too nice to stay in. The community here is friendly from what I have seen, kind of laid back. Evenings bring out a fresh mountain air smell that sometimes has wildflowers in it.
This villa in Benahavis feels more like a retreat than just another place to live. It works as a main family home or a holiday spot you sink into every weekend. Everything is set up so you can move right in. To be honest the only way to know if it suits you is to come by and feel it for yourself. If you have any questions or want to walk through at your own pace just let me know any time. At LuxuryProperty.com we want your next move to just feel right, no rush.
