Some places just make you pause right at the entrance. That is exactly what happened when I visited this two bedroom apartment in 5242 at Dubai Marina. I guess it is partly those big windows catching the light or maybe the open feeling you get when you wander inside for the first time. If you have ever dreamed about what Dubai Marina living is really all about well this home pretty much nails it.

Right away you will realize there is nothing fussy or over the top here. That sense of upgraded finishes is just there whenever you look at the walls or feel the floors under your feet. The apartment is completely unfurnished so it is a bit like a blank canvas if you have your own style or favorite sofa you really want to bring in. There is something nice about imagining your own things here and knowing the bones of the place are solid and fresh. The built up area is pretty generous at 1120 square feet so if you like your space to spread out or you want the rooms to breathe a little this should fit.

When you walk to the living area honestly you just want to stand for a moment by the glass and watch how the sunlight bounces off the sea. You get these clear views over Dubai Marina and all the way out to the water which is something you can easily get used to. The real magic is in the natural light so if you love bright airy homes this one just gets it right from morning till evening.

The kitchen sits just to the side and is actually a nice space not hidden away like an afterthought. I kept thinking you could cook something for friends in here and not feel cramped at all. You get plenty of counter space so even if you get ambitious with dinner you are not fighting for room. Whether you are into quick breakfasts or you like to make a little bit of a mess with a big Sunday lunch it just works.

Each bedroom has its own bathroom which always makes life easier. The bedrooms themselves are a good size and you will notice these wide windows in both. I found the storage more than enough so those shopping trips at Dubai Marina Mall are not going to be a problem. The bathrooms feel spa like without being too showy so you can go for a late hot shower and it is actually inviting. Rain showers are there too which is one of those small luxuries that make a day feel special.

The building just steps things up. There is an infinity pool and trust me the view from up there is probably one of my favorites in Dubai Marina. It is a place where you could swim early and just watch the city wake up. There is a gym that is taken care of and it is big enough for any routine. Even a spa for those days when you need to switch off completely. With security and concierge around the clock you always feel taken care of it just feels easy knowing there is someone ready if you ever need any help.

Location wise you probably already know how close you are to everything in Dubai Marina. Take a walk and you are by the beach in no time. The metro is not far so you can get around the city even if you do not want to drive. Bluewaters Island is just over the bridge so a lazy weekend at Caesars or checking out the dining there is always an option. You will see families in the evenings or people jogging by the marina path and the coffee shops downstairs never feel too far.
