29 Burj Boulevard Tower 1, 29 Burj Boulevard, Downtown Dubai
Some places really slow you down the moment you walk in. This two bedroom apartment in 29 Burj Boulevard, Downtown Dubai, is one of those spots. I stood by the window and, honestly, just got caught up looking out at the Burj Khalifa. The city feels different from this height. You actually hear less of it and see more of the sky. Inside, the first thing you feel is the brightness. The living room is wide open and the sunlight just fills it right up. There is something laid back about the whole space, not stiff or formal. Maybe it's the way the rooms flow into each other or how the balcony is right there calling you out, especially around sunset.
Now, about the kitchen. Even though some apartments look nice on paper, you walk in and it feels like you might never actually cook there. That is not the case here. This kitchen is unfurnished at the moment so you have a blank canvas to make it feel just right for actually living. Big enough to move around. Good layout for morning coffee or a lazy weekend breakfast. It opens out gently to the dining and living areas, which is always nice when you have friends over or just want to keep an eye on the TV while something is simmering on the stove.
Both bedrooms have built in wardrobes so you never really have to worry about where all your stuff will go. And you will notice each bedroom has its own bathroom attached so there is a bit of privacy and no waiting around in the mornings. I actually liked how the rooms sit far enough back from the main living space that if someone is watching a movie you can still tuck away and catch a nap. It just feels easy to find your own pocket of quiet here.
You're up on a high floor and it matters. Less city noise, even though you are right in the heart of Downtown Dubai. Sometimes you almost forget your phone while watching the lights come on across the city in the evening. The balcony is one of those places you could lose an hour without even realizing it. The Burj Khalifa is never just a background here. It's really right there. You get that wow moment every single day.
Downstairs, the building itself is looked after. You will see staff keeping things tidy every morning. There is a swimming pool you can actually do laps in, not just float around. The gym has enough space and always seems to get that morning sunlight, which somehow makes getting on the treadmill a little easier. Security never feels over bearing but you do notice it. That is oddly comforting. You get to know some faces too. It is one of those towers where neighbors sometimes chat in the lobby or on the lift ride up but you never feel crowded. Kids from the other floors sometimes pass through in the evenings on scooters and parents always seem to find each other for a chat by the main entrance.
The real trick to living in Downtown Dubai is balance. You get the buzz of the city just outside and then you come home and it's quiet enough to unwind. The coffee shop on the corner seems to know almost everyone's order by now. The grocery store is a genuine five minute walk if you need milk at midnight. You end up running into the same people in the mornings, everyone just heading off into the city. There is a feeling that things are close but you still have your own space.
The apartment is vacant and ready for you, whenever you want to make it yours. If you are after a home that feels like part of the city but gives you a little break from all that noise and movement, this one is worth seeing. The only way to know if it's right is to walk through and feel it for yourself. If you want to have a look or ask about anything at all, just reach out whenever.
