Residences 13, District One, Mohammed Bin Rashid City
Some homes just make you stop and breathe a little easier. This three bedroom apartment in District One, Mohammed Bin Rashid City, did that for me today. There is a stillness to it. To be honest, I had not expected to feel so calm the minute I walked in. I found myself kind of forgetting about my inbox for a second and just looking out at that blue water. I could hear the sound of a few birds and even the hum of a few kids playing down by the lagoon. Things feel different up here.
The first thing I noticed is how the floor to ceiling windows just let everything in. There is this wraparound terrace outside and you just want to wander out there and look at the lagoon for a while. You can feel the breeze when the doors are open and there is something about all that open sky that just opens you up, too. It is a lot of apartment, honestly. Nearly two thousand five hundred square feet. You do not really see that much space most places anymore. And it is definitely the biggest one in this building.
I walked into the kitchen first. It does not pretend. It is not just a show kitchen with things no one will use. It is actually set up in a way that you would want to make a real meal for your people. You can talk to someone sitting on the sofa at the same time or keep an eye on the terrace if the kids are playing outside. The marble on the counters and the smooth cupboards kind of catch the light every time you walk past.
The living area just flows with the dining space. I like that you are not boxed in anywhere. Some places try too hard with their layouts but here you can just move around easily. It would be a nice spot for one of those casual weekend lunches where you do not really worry what time it is. People can wander out to the terrace with their coffee or just sit and read by the window.
Bedroom spaces here are not cramped at all. You will fit a grown up bed, a reading chair, whatever you need. The closets are the tucked away kind that do not eat up the room. Every bedroom has its own bathroom. None of these awkward sharing situations. The master has this door that leads straight out to the terrace. I stood there for a bit and watched the light change over the water. Honestly I could get used to mornings like that.
And the best thing is, this is not just a building standing somewhere far off. Mohammed Bin Rashid City feels alive. Schools are nearby. There are always a few shops around and you will run into someone grabbing a takeaway coffee most mornings. Little things like that make a difference. Plus, you are minutes from Downtown Dubai so commutes are easy and when you want to escape the noise, you come home to views of water instead of traffic. You will also notice that families tend to put down roots here because it is just easy living. There is a comfort in knowing neighbors wave to each other and sometimes you see kids biking by when it cools off at night.
This apartment is totally unfurnished by the way which means you can just bring your own things and not worry about working around someone else's idea of furniture. If you need help figuring out if your sofa will fit or where to set up a study, I like wandering with a tape measure and a coffee. Parking is sorted and the building feels new and clean without being cold.
End of the day, words only say so much. You never know if a place feels right until you are actually standing inside. If you want to come by or just ask about something practical, just get in touch. At LuxuryProperty.com, we like things to feel simple and easy. Let us know if you want to see this apartment in person. Maybe you will want to stop and breathe here too.
