Building 20, City Walk
Some places just get under your skin in the best way as soon as you walk in. That is what happened to me the first time at this three bedroom apartment in Building 20, right here at City Walk. The light kind of fills every corner and you notice right away how much space there is. Not just the usual squeeze you find in some city places. This spot actually lets you stretch out and breathe a little.
There is something about City Walk itself. You see people walking their dogs or grabbing a morning coffee and it just feels easy. Life is happening all around but you also get the sense it slows down a touch when you are up here. The apartment is set in a spot where you still hear a bit of that city buzz outside but mostly, there is this kind of calm once you step inside. I stood by the terrace for a few minutes and watched families heading out for ice cream. Honestly, it made me smile.
Inside, you will find three real bedrooms. Nothing feels crammed here. Each room has wardrobes built right in so you will have space for all your things even if you have a bit too much stuff (don't worry, we all do). Every bedroom has its own bathroom and you will notice right away the quality of the finish in those spaces. It is all quite clean and modern, nothing flashy but just really comfortable. The maid's room is a proper one too, not just a little afterthought. If you have live-in help or just want to tuck away some extra storage, it actually works.
What I really like is how the kitchen and the living area are totally open. Someone could be working from home at the table while you cook a proper meal—no hiding away in a corner. To be honest, it feels like the kind of kitchen you would actually use, not just one you show off. The layout makes gatherings pretty easy, too. I imagine you could have a few friends over, door open to the terrace, music playing in the background and no one feeling crowded. The dining space gets that morning light just right. Sometimes you can almost forget your phone here.
Now, the terrace—that is a little escape all by itself. It is big enough for a table or maybe an outdoor sofa. Picture evenings with a book, or friends coming over sharing stories while the city twinkles below. On weekends, you might find yourself just sipping coffee out there. It feels private but at the same time lets you keep an eye on the world going by. You see the energy of City Walk but you are never right in the middle of the noise.
Being here means City Walk is always at your doorstep. It is one of those Dubai communities where you can just flow from indoors to outdoors. The shops are not far. You are close to nice restaurants and honestly, some of the best people-watching you get anywhere in the downtown area. Plus, the walkability here is worth mentioning. Not every part of Dubai lets you wander on foot to do your errands or meet with friends for a lazy brunch. Here, you can. Parks are scattered around. You might see kids biking or people out running in the mornings before the shops open. City Walk really is its own little bubble in the city.
The apartment is vacant and not furnished, so you get to make it your own from day one. No old couches to deal with. Just a fresh start. The feel here is modern, but it has warmth. I honestly think it is the kind of place that would suit a family just as well as working professionals who want space to unwind. Getting to Downtown Dubai or Jumeirah is easy—just a quick drive and you are there but coming back here always feels a bit like home.
You can read about apartments in City Walk all day but when it comes down to it, you have to step inside and get a feel for yourself.
