5242, Dubai Marina
Sometimes a place just feels like it could be your next home from that very first step inside. That is what happened when I saw this three bedroom apartment at 5242, right in the heart of Dubai Marina. It is in one of those towers that catches the light in the morning and pulls your eyes to the water stretching out in front. Honestly I caught myself just standing by the window for a while, watching the way the boats move along the marina and the sea just beyond them. There is a real sense of calm here which you do not always expect in the middle of a busy city.
The living area is open and bright, big windows all around and you cannot ignore those high ceilings either. It just feels easy to breathe in here. Sometimes apartments in Dubai Marina can feel a bit boxed in, but not this one. The balconies are actually big enough that you would want to bring a chair out and start your morning with coffee while you catch a bit of that sea breeze. And the full sea view really is as good as everyone says, you almost do not need art on the walls. The colours of the water change through the day, if you are the kind that notices those little things.
There are three bedrooms all together, and none of them feel like an afterthought. The master has this light at certain times that feels really peaceful, a little like you have a private corner above it all. The other two rooms work easily as bedrooms or guest rooms or maybe if you need a study with great natural light, they will do fine as well. I would say you could move in as a family, or maybe you want extra space for working from home, or even a hobby room. You have options and that is hard to find sometimes.
If you care about kitchens – and I know some people do and some just want the space to look good – this one actually feels like a spot you would want to cook in for real. Some places are all shiny surfaces and nowhere to work, but this kitchen definitely looks ready for evening meals or quick snacks. If you need to stock up, you are surrounded by so many supermarkets. There is a Spinneys just around the way, Waitrose is never far, Carrefour as well. Honestly hunger is not really a problem here.
You also get the bonus of being in a building where everything is thought of. There is an infinity pool that has this view out toward the sea – I can see why people end up spending weekends just sitting out there. The gym has all the usual equipment if you feel motivated. There is a barbeque area, so maybe you end up gathering friends one Saturday evening. The security detail is around all through the day and night, so there is an ease to coming and going.
The location really could not get better if you like city life but also want a building that gives you a bit of quiet. Sheikh Zayed Road is just down the way for quick drives anywhere. Bluewaters Island is so close you could walk if you feel like it. Palm Jumeirah is also close by, so you can dip over for an afternoon. Dubai Marina itself is packed with restaurants and little coffee shops where people take meetings or just relax. Pier 7 is a favourite, if you have not been yet, dinner at Asia Asia or Atelier M is definitely a local experience. If you ever need a doctor or clinic, Medicare Medical Centre and Emirates Hospital Clinic are both nearby and Al Zahra Hospital in Al Barsha is only a short drive.
Living in Dubai Marina just means you have options. From world class restaurants to everyday needs, it is all close by. Sometimes you see people biking in the evenings or kids heading down to the promenade. The lights on the water at night can be something special.
If you want to know what this place feels like for real, you really have to see it for yourself. Send a message or give me a call any time if you want to have a look or just talk things through. At LuxuryProperty.com we try to keep it easy and straightforward, just helping you find a home that feels right for you.
