The Atria, Business Bay
Some places in Dubai just make you feel like you're letting out a breath you did not know you were holding. That was me a few days back when I stepped into this one bedroom apartment at The Atria in Business Bay and actually paused because of the light streaming through the full windows. You barely notice the city noise at all up here. There is an easy kind of peace that is hard to find in the middle of Dubai.
Right away you'll see this apartment is ready for someone to just bring a suitcase and move in. The owners left it furnished down to the last detail. I have to say it feels far less โhotel' and much more โreal home,' only with all the extras you do not have to arrange yourself. Honestly if you have ever scrambled with furniture or setting up WiFi and getting tiny things fixed after shifting in, this will be a relief. The kitchen is set up with the good stuff and there is actual room to cook, not just to heat takeout. I leaned over the marble counter, looked out at the view, and could actually imagine putting together a proper breakfast without bumping into anything.
The bedroom feels private. I like that you can wake up and just step onto the little balcony, maybe stand for a minute with your coffee while downtown starts to wake up. The windows in both bedroom and living room are huge so you get that nice glow all through the apartment until sunset. Right after I walked in I simply went to the window and watched the skyline. The living room flows into the balcony as well and you might leave the doors open on cooler evenings just to catch a breeze. There are two smart TVs already set up, one in the living, one in the bedroom, so you can have your Netflix wherever you feel like curling up.
Both bathrooms are done in marble and honestly I spent longer than normal in there because it just feels relaxing. The en-suite is actually big enough to move around in, which you do not get everywhere. You also get a guest bathroom that feels properly finished and not an afterthought tucked away in a corner.
All the services here are part of the deal. I could not find a single thing missing. Bills are already included, so you just live here and enjoy it. The concierge is always visible in the lobby, and the team handles everything quietly in the background. If you have a car there is a reserved spot downstairs which is pretty useful considering how tough parking can get around Business Bay, and visitors can find parking too without circling for ever.
And then there are the building perks. The infinity pool on the roof is kind of irresistible, I stood up there for a good bit just looking at the Burj Khalifa in the distance while some kids swam and couples took pictures. There is a proper gym too, plus steam and sauna if you want to unwind. There are a couple of decent cafes downstairs so sometimes you spot residents grabbing coffee before work. At times you almost forget you are right in the middle of Dubai with all this calm and space.
It just feels easy here. You walk in and everything works. Plus you are close to everywhere you need to be whether it is Downtown or Dubai Canal and there is always something happening in the area. You can even catch the sunset from the balcony which is one of my favorite parts of Dubai living.
If you are looking for a space in Business Bay that feels a bit more like home and less like you are just passing through, it is worth taking a look. Come by and see if it suits you.
