Kempinski BLVD, Downtown Dubai
Some homes just have a sense about them even before you open the door. This one bedroom apartment at Kempinski BLVD in Downtown Dubai is like that. When I first let myself in I just stopped for a second and took in the light coming in from those big floor to ceiling windows. The city is right there but somehow it still feels calm up here and you really do forget how close the metro and everything else is.
You're high enough up that you get a proper view across DIFC and even further in the mornings or evenings. Standing on the balcony you can actually hear a bit of the city hum but mostly you just feel the breeze and see the lights at night. I imagine it's a spot where you might have your morning coffee still in your pajamas or just lean out with a cup of tea before the day starts. Honestly I think that's the bit that stuck with me most even more than the actual size or layout. The vibe is more relaxed than you'd expect in such a busy part of Dubai.
Inside you'll see it is fully furnished straight away. Not the usual generic type either. The furniture in the living and dining area feels well chosen and the open plan means you get this open stretch of space to use how you want. You can have a few people over and not feel squeezed in. There's this sleek white kitchen that actually looks like you'd want to cook something real in it. All the appliances are top end they slid right in and just work no fuss. Sometimes you get kitchens that are just for show but not here. I hung out there for a bit and just got a nice homey feeling from it.
The bedroom is probably somewhere you'd want to spend plenty of time too especially if you sometimes take a lazy Sunday morning. It's got a big king bed and those wardrobes are already built in so you do not have to worry about space for your stuff. The en suite bathroom feels calming with proper lighting and clean finishes. It could easily be a little retreat after a long work day. You also get your own private slice of sky thanks to another window and that opens the space even more.
What's nice here is how you're living right in the centre of Downtown Dubai with everything just outside. You have direct access by the Metro Link so even if you do not love standing in the sun too long you can get to Dubai Mall and the metro really easily. No walking on hot streets or waiting for a cab. You might even find you go out more because it's just easy. Sometimes you see families with kids in the lobby or people just back from shopping and it adds a bit of life to the building without feeling busy.
As you'd guess with Kempinski BLVD you get all your world class extras. The fitness centre kept getting a few late night visitors when I was around so if you are into evening workouts that's pretty handy. The spa actually smells great as you walk past. There's a couple of swimming pools including those city views you sometimes see on Instagram and a few really good dining options just downstairs. All the facilities seem to run well from what I've seen and people working here are always quick to help.
It actually feels like somewhere that would fit a professional who likes being close to everything or even a couple who want something a bit more special than the usual city apartment. The calm in the middle of all the Downtown Dubai energy is a real plus. Even if you are thinking about it for part time living or as an investment it's the location and the vibe that make the difference.
You really have to come up and feel it for yourself though. No amount of words or photos will really do that bit with the light and the view justice. If you ever want to pop by or have any questions at all I'm always around. At LuxuryProperty.com we want to help you find that place that just feels rightโnot just any place in Dubai.
All the details you need about your favorite property, neatly packed into one handy file.
