Residences 15, District One, Mohammed Bin Rashid City
Some homes just make you slow down for a second when you walk in. This one bedroom furnished apartment right here in District One Phase III, Mohammed Bin Rashid City, did exactly that for me. Sunlight comes pouring in through these great big windows and there is this sense of quiet you do not always get in Dubai. I just found myself standing by the glass and looking out at the lagoon for a bit. You cannot help it. The water is almost unbelievably blue. You see a bit of the greenery rolling out from the edge too and sometimes you spot families out for a walk or just folks reading on a bench. Honestly it makes you forget you are so close to Downtown Dubai.
The place is ready for you to move in which is kind of rare these days. Since it is vacant you do not have to wait or imagine what it could be like with someone else's things in it. You can move in and just start living. And the best thing is you get that fresh clean feel from the moment you open the door. It just feels easy. The overall vibe is simple but a bit fancy at the same time. With seven hundred sixty seven square feet you do not feel crowded at all especially with the open plan living space. That layout really helps when you want to cook and talk at the same time or just have friends over for the evening. Sometimes I see people just sitting with a coffee in their kitchen because it feels more like a real hangout spot than you would expect from a one bedroom place.
You will also notice the kitchen is actually made for people who use it. Not just for heating up some takeout. Everything feels new and the appliances are all modern so if you do enjoy making a meal now and then you will have what you need. If you do not feel like it though District One has more than a few good food options around. There is always a café or two not far if you just want breakfast out on a slow Saturday morning. And honestly the local community atmosphere is better than I expected. Sometimes I see folks jogging by the lagoon before the sun gets too hot and if you like a quiet place to walk or run in the evening you will fit right in here.
The bedroom has plenty of storage so you can keep things simple and uncluttered. There is enough space for a big bed and still some left for a bit of extra furniture if you want it. The bathroom keeps that same modern clean look. Nothing over the top but definitely a notch above what you might see in most apartments this size. The main living and dining area is open and that gives the whole place this bright friendly feel. Some evenings you might open the windows and just catch the lagoon breeze while you relax on the couch.
What really stands out about District One besides the obvious beauty of the Crystal Lagoon is the sense of quiet and community. For Dubai it is something you do not find everywhere. Kids out on bikes. Late afternoon football games at the little park. If you work in Downtown Dubai you are close to everything without all the noise and traffic. And every day you come home to views most people only see on postcards or Instagram.
It is a furnished apartment so moving in really is simple. Bring a suitcase and you are basically set. It is a good option for anyone who does not want the hassle of setting up a new place from scratch. And the apartment is vacant now so there is nothing stopping you from starting fresh right away. Sometimes the hardest thing is just imagining yourself in a new place but here you just see it and it feels right.
The real answer is always the same though. The only way to know if this lagoon view apartment is for you is to come see it in person.
