I don't know if it was the light coming in or just that gentle sound you get from being this close to the ocean. You walk in and there's this big bright living space and you almost want to walk straight through to the terrace because the ocean is right there. It just pulls you outside.

Sometimes I found myself just watching the sunlight flicker across the pool outside.

The service at Four Seasons is really noticeable too. I am not just saying the usual front desk type you walk by. You get proper hospitality. The staff remember the coffee you like or bring up room service late if you need it. Housekeeping is easy to arrange and you have a real concierge team. Even things like booking spa treatments in the afternoon or asking simple questions never feel like a hassle. The valet is quick which you'll notice especially if you like eating out. You can have anything from in room dining to a table at Thomas Keller's restaurant which as you probably know is a bit of a Miami landmark these days. The Lido Restaurant and Champagne Bar are right downstairs too which is perfect if you do not feel like cooking or want to catch up with friends last minute.

And about the pools plural because there are four of them including one just for residents. It is rarely busy and sometimes you see kids playing quietly at the edges. The coffee shop is never far and you get those easy walks along the beach in the evenings. It is just a pace of life that makes you want to put the phone away for a bit. Honestly you forget you are in the middle of Miami sometimes.
