Sometimes you walk into a place and just kind of breathe out without thinking about it. That happened right when I set foot in this modern oceanfront villa at 50 S Pointe Drive. I almost lost track of the conversation because I was looking straight through those floor to ceiling windows at the Atlantic. The city in the distance on one side and the water stretching out on the other. Miami really does feel alive when you catch it like that.

This place does not hide anything. You walk right into a bright open living space that never feels cramped and the sun sort of follows you around the entire day. Someone cared about getting the details right during the renovation. Actually you see it everywhere you look. The floors are Italian porcelain and you even notice the floating baseboards when you pause for a second. It is the little things I guess. The Boffi kitchen sits perfectly along one wall and it does not just look nice. This feels like a spot where you actually cook for friends. The appliances are all seamlessly built in and even the sink sort of disappears. If you like hosting there is a wet bar off to the side and I guess you would find yourself mixing drinks there after a swim or maybe while the sun drops off downtown.

There are three bedrooms here and an extra den space that sort of opens up all sorts of options. Home office maybe or just a spot for reading. The primary bedroom is bigger than you expect. You get your own office space that sits by the window facing the ocean. I could see myself sitting there and getting nothing done at all. The way the light spills in at sunset is honestly kind of peaceful. Even if work keeps you at your desk you have the city out there to keep you company. The closet space is generous and the bathrooms have a calm feel. Everything built using quality materials. No weird finishes. No fuss.

The Continuum community itself adds even more. This villa is technically just your private space but when you step outside you get twelve acres of landscaped grounds. Sometimes you spot families out for an early walk or people just reading under the trees. Along the oceanfront there is a stretch of beach that always feels clean and never really crowded. Full beach service is there if you want it. I sat outside for a bit and watched the paddle boarders drift by. Kind of relaxing.

On site you have a gourmet restaurant that feels more like a local spot than a hotel restaurant. The coffee is good and there is always someone around to say hi. Out by the pools you get to choose. There are two lagoon style pools that sort of wind through the garden areas. Kids love it. There is also a lap pool if you want to get a real swim in before breakfast. If you play tennis there are three clay courts tucked inside the property. You hear the bounce of the ball walking past in the evenings sometimes and it makes the place feel lived in.

Fitness is easy here honestly. There is a huge gym and spa set right inside the main building. Latest machines but nothing intimidating. You can see the city while you work out. Afterwards I would just head to the spa for a bit.

This villa sits right in the heart of Miami but you would not really know it from the way the air moves out by the beach. The best coffee spots are not too far and you sometimes see cyclists riding up early in the day. Fisher Island is close by and you catch all these little boats coming and going on the water. The Miami lifestyle just feels smooth from here.
