Sometimes you walk into a place and just get that feeling you cannot really rush it. That happened to me stepping inside this five bedroom villa in District One, Mohammed Bin Rashid City. The front door opened and there was this quiet, almost calm energy to it. Sunlight came streaming through the floor to ceiling windows and caught the edges of the polished floors. I remember letting the door fall shut behind me and just standing for a second looking out at all that space. Honestly it kind of feels private and open all at once. 

You can tell straightaway this villa is something special in District One. Everything is big without feeling showy. The living room actually calls you to flop on the sofa or stretch out on the floor with the kids or a book. The kitchen looks modern but also like something you would use if you like cooking for real not just microwaving dinner. I pictured a few friends gathered around chatting over coffee while someone stirs a pot on the stove. There is a casual flow through the whole downstairs. If you left the sliding doors open on a winter night I think you would feel the breeze right through the lounge.

I tried out the water pressure in one and it felt great. Probably oversharing but when you are looking for a home these things matter.

The plot is pretty big too, about eight thousand seven hundred feet, so there is that rare feeling of space which you do not always get in Dubai. Parking is easy and the garage did not feel cramped at all. If you have a couple of cars or like to collect bikes you have room for both. 

And you are not far from so many things in Mohammed Bin Rashid City. There are coffee shops not too far off by car, supermarkets are close enough for a quick trip, and schools are easy to reach too. On weekends people are always out with their families, jogging, cycling, or just relaxing by the community lagoon. It never feels too busy here which honestly is hard to find in Dubai.

You will see the District One community is known for its mix of luxury and real living. The villa somehow manages to be modern and comfortable at the same time which does not always happen.
