The kitchen is properly usable too not just a place to show off some fancy fixtures. I actually stood there and thought about cooking a real meal. With the breakfast counter it is easy to picture morning coffees while the world outside is still quiet. The scullery is tucked away so if you have a few dishes piling up no one needs to see.

The corner veranda is probably one of my favorite parts and not just because it wraps around for extra space. You get all these views of the water and the hint of boats moving by. I imagine early evenings with the air starting to get cool and maybe a drink in hand just listening to the water. There is a second veranda just off the guest bedroom on the main floor. I almost missed it the first time but it is a good spot for someone who likes a bit of privacy. Guests get their own little hideaway out there with a glimpse of the gardens and soft island breezes.

Upstairs it keeps surprising you. There are three more bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms and closets. Honestly space is generous everywhere. One of the bedrooms has its own private veranda which feels like a good spot for reading or even just watching the sky change colors. Then you have the master suite. It is big. Like really big. There is a separate study space which I know not everyone needs but it is nice for someone who works from home or just wants a comfy reading room. The balcony off the master is wide too not one of those narrow ledges. Morning coffees or late nights just sitting out with the sound of the ocean not far away. The bathroom is fitted with double sinks so two people can get ready without bumping elbows.

Living on Eden Island you get a bit more ease than most places. Here you have your own mooring dock right there so if you have a boat or just want to fish at the end of the day it is simple. The home comes with an electric buggy too for getting around the island. No worries about parking or dragging shopping bags far.

People always ask about the atmosphere here and honestly it is relaxed. You rarely see people in a rush. Sometimes kids pedal bikes down the lane and every so often you hear laughter from the beach. Coffee shops are easy to find. The marina is a short buggy ride if you need supplies or just want to look at the boats.

Places like this Maison on Eden Island do not show up often and when they do it is usually word of mouth.
