Some homes just have that easy going feel when you wander in. This five bedroom villa in Maple at Dubai Hills Estate quietly does that. I remember just letting the front door swing closed and for a second it was almost silent except for the sound out in the garden. You can sense people living good lives here, families who know the neighbour's name and kids who probably forget about their tablets for a few hours. It really does have those relaxed Dubai mornings, with the light moving across the living room floor and the kitchen feeling big enough for everyone to cook or just hang around. I stood in the kitchen and looked across to the garden and thought, this is the sort of place you end up making pancakes on a quiet Friday.
This home is set in the Maple community inside Dubai Hills Estate and you get a feeling that the trees really matter. The whole area is full of green views and park spaces that most days you will see people running or biking or just walking. The park is close here, which means if you like early walks or evenings out with the kids, it could not be easier. You can step from your own garden right into park space and start your little adventure or just sit on your terrace with a coffee and watch everything go by. The garden actually feels private enough for you to really relax outside, and mornings are especially peaceful.
Life here is just easy. Even getting in and out of Dubai Hills Estate is a breeze. You are never far from Dubai Hills Mall or other local places people enjoy, from coffee shops to gyms and grocery stores. Kings School is also nearby and so are some great healthcare options. No long school runs. That has got to help. I have seen people stopping to chat at the shops or heading towards the mosque that's not far away, it is those little community things that you feel when you spend a bit of time here.
The villa itself is more than just a nice layout, although the open plan ground floor really is made for family living. You can see directly from the living area to the terrace and then out to the greenery. There is tonnes of space, with a proper area outside for whatever you want to use it for. Inside, the windows let in lots of light and you can always see what is happening around you. Sometimes in these homes it just feels so bright that you do not really need to turn on the lights until evening. There are five bedrooms, so honestly you have got options if you want a guest room or a place to work or a play room in the back.
The main bedroom has that little extra touch as well. You look out over the back garden and get your own terrace, which really does feel like your own private spot. I noticed the walk in wardrobe had plenty of space, like you do not have to squeeze things in. The bathroom actually makes you want to take your time in the morning, not rush out. Every bedroom has enough room for real furniture, not just a bed and not much else.
If you head over to the club area, you will find the pool and gym. There is a little retail spot too. I saw a few people lounging by the pool and nobody seemed in a hurry, which is a pretty good sign for any community in Dubai. On weekends, the park sometimes has small markets. If you like to be out and about, there is always something going on.
