Some homes just have a certain pace and energy the first time you walk through the door. This two bedroom townhouse in Arabella Townhouses inside Mudon surprised me that way. I dropped my keys on the kitchen counter and just stood there for a minute listening to the quiet. Even in the middle of the day you really do get good light in here and somehow it feels like home from the start.
As you come in you will notice the entrance is quite open. The stairway and a little storage area actually make it feel practical. There is a maids room tucked away right as you step in and honestly sometimes I see people use this space for extra storage or even as a little office if you end up working from home. On the left you will find a powder room which obviously just makes day to day living a bit easier especially when you have people over. The kitchen is semi open so it connects to the living room but still gives you a bit of privacy if you are cooking or just lining up groceries after a late Saturday grocery run. I keep thinking how it would work if you have kids or friends with kids visiting since you can see most of the living room from the kitchen. It feels simple and actually meant for real life not just photos.
The main living and dining area is honestly a nice surprise. I lingered by the big window for a bit and actually caught myself watching birds in the landscaped communal gardens. You get a landscaped view that is easy on the eyes and you will probably notice the way the space just opens up. It is bright and the floors somehow make it feel inviting like you do not need to be overly precious about anything. Open up the doors and you have a little backyard area where you can put out a couple of chairs maybe fire up a small barbecue. I have even seen some folks growing potted plants or just sipping coffee outside when the weather is nice.
Upstairs is where both of the bedrooms are and the best thing is each bedroom has its own private bathroom so no one needs to wait in the morning. The master bedroom even has a walk in closet which honestly does make life easier. You will probably use up more space than you think but at least there is plenty of storage. Both bedrooms have their own balconies. The one off the master is a bit bigger. Stand out there in the early evenings and you might just catch the last light or sometimes you hear the gentle hum of families heading out for a walk.
Arabella Townhouses in Mudon really does have this community feel without it being too busy. You can walk around the peaceful lanes. There are small parks with kids playing soccer or riding their bikes sometimes. I like how the neighbourhood connects together with walking paths and workout stations. On weekends you will spot neighbours stopping for a chat or families heading to the community pool. There are actually three pools dotted around so it never feels crowded. It is a place where the coffee shop is never far and the gym or fitness studio at the Mudon community centre gets used more than you would think.
Getting around from here is pretty easy since Mudon connects nicely to the main roads. Commuting to the city or coming back late after work does not feel stressful. The convenience of having both Emirates Road and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road nearby really does save you time even if you are just heading out for groceries or meeting friends across town.
The only way you will know if this Arabella townhouse in Mudon really feels like you want is to come and walk through it yourself.
