Some places just feel right when you walk through the door. Honestly, this three bedroom townhouse in Casa Dora at Serena had me as soon as I stepped in. It just feels lived in even before anyone has actually made it their home. Maybe it is the sunlight pouring in from those tall windows or maybe it is the way the garden is always somewhere in sight, green and easy. Sometimes you hear birds out back, or you catch a neighbor waving from their balcony across the courtyard. There is a real neighbourhood feel here in Serena, not something you always get in Dubai.
So the house itself is simple but comfortable. You push open the front door and you are right away in this living and dining space that just works for both a quiet evening with Netflix or a group of friends coming over for dinner. I stood in the kitchen for a bit and noticed it did not feel like one of those showpiece kitchens you get in marketing photos. This is the sort of place you could actually cook up a proper dinner and still keep an eye on everyone in the next room. Even the storage makes sense. There is a little space tucked under the stairs where you can actually stash things you do not want lying out in the open all the time. And you will probably use it. Most people do.
Out in the garden is probably where I would spend most weekends. There is just enough space for a couple chairs and a table and maybe a little barbecue if you are feeling ambitious. The grass is soft and you could even roll out a picnic blanket for the kids. The garden looks out into the community too and you will see neighbors walking their dogs or heading out on bikes in the cooler evenings. Sometimes the community kids gather not far away to play games after school.
Upstairs, you find two really good sized bedrooms sharing a guest bathroom. They both have those fitted wardrobes which are just so much easier than dealing with furniture that never quite fits. The main suite upstairs is a little sanctuary all on its own. There is this walk in closet which is more than enough space for two people, and the bathroom is simple but really functional. But the balcony is the thing that gets you. I stood there for a bit and it was just quiet, looking down over that green garden and straight out into the Serena community. It is easy to imagine yourself having coffee there in the mornings or stepping out in your socks in the late evening just to breathe and unwind.
Living in Casa Dora also means you get all the benefits of this Portuguese inspired community. There is a lot of greenery everywhere you look, unlike in some parts of Dubai. It actually feels cheerful and open, not closed off or crowded. The walking paths are always nearby and you will see people out jogging or walking their dogs most mornings. The community has its own pools and parks, and the way everything is laid out makes it easy to find your way around. The coffee shop is never far and you always see people just catching up on the benches out front. It actually feels like people know each other here.
Plus the location makes life pretty simple. You have easy access to most major roads, so getting around Dubai does not mean battling traffic for hours. A lot of schools and shops are within reach and if you work in the city you are not making a huge commute every day. It just feels easy and practical.
Honestly that is what stands out to me about this townhouse and Serena itself. It is not overly showy, not trying too hard. It just feels like somewhere you could really breathe and build something that fits you. If you think it might be right for you, the best way is just to come see it in person. Reach out anytime. We really do try to make finding a new home in Dubai comfortable. Sometimes you know as soon as you walk in.
