Some places just make you want to slow down as soon as you walk in. That is honestly how it feels stepping into this one bedroom hotel apartment at FIVE Palm Jumeirah. You come in and the light hits all the right corners and honestly you just stop and look around for a second. Maybe it is the height you are on I do not know exactly but you do feel a bit above it all looking out from up here. You will see what I mean if you check out the view over Palm Jumeirah and a slice of the Arabian Gulf.

The whole apartment feels really open. The kitchen is tucked over to the side right as you come in. I actually stood there for a bit and pictured making coffee here in the morning the place almost wants you to. You have got Miele appliances ready so if you cook a bit or even just reheat food it feels easy everything about the kitchen actually works. And there is space to move without bumping into anything which is always a plus. The living room opens out right next to it and it feels casual with heaps of space. I could see someone settling in here with a book or the TV. The dining part connects just next to the living room and there is actually a sliding door so you can close it off or leave it open depending on the mood or the mess. Sometimes these things matter more than you realise.

One of the things I really noticed is just how much outside space you get here for a one bedroom. There are three balconies. Seriously. One opens out from the living room where you can just watch the sun change the colour on the water. Another bit comes off the dining side and then you have your own off the bedroom too which feels nice and private morning or night. I stood out there for a minute or two and you can hear the city but it is never too much. Mostly the sounds of the water and people just living.

The bedroom itself feels calm the kind of space you want to come back to. Loads of neat built in wardrobes so you do not feel cluttered. And the bathroom is just modern and simple. Everything works no complicated bits. Even a bit of storage where you need it. The whole place comes fully furnished too so all the details are done and you do not have to worry about finding the right table or bed or lamp it is all picked for you and it is not fussy at all.

This apartment is in the North Wing so you get that privacy but you are still close enough that the hotel is practically part of your day. That means access to everything here at FIVE Palm Jumeirah which is honestly more like living in a holiday than being at home. There is the private beach right downstairs. The pool is always just a short walk. Fancy a good breakfast or quick coffee and there are plenty of places to pick from and if you live here you get a discount at all the restaurants and bars inside the hotel. Sometimes you will see people heading in for brunch or even just a coffee by the beach and it just feels easy. If you think about life here it could be working late and still sneaking in a quick swim or meeting friends at the spa without ever having to jump in a car.

The smart home tech is worth mentioning because honestly managing your lights sound or temperature from your phone takes a lot of hassle out of day to day stuff. Plus the building security and staff are always around but never in the way.

One thing I like is how close you are to everything. Right at the base of the Palm so you get in and out quick when you need the city or Sheikh Zayed. Grocery delivery is always quick. There is a running track and you see kids biking in the evenings or people walking their dogs early. The community really feels alive.
