Some places you just do not forget the feeling of. You get that as soon as the boat comes closer to Colombia Island on The World Islands. The sea opens up and it actually gets kind of quiet. I was lucky enough to spend some time out there recently, stepping onto the sand with the sun already warming everything and honestly it just felt like a fresh start.
Colombia Island is really something else if you have been looking for a private island property in Dubai. We are talking about a one hundred thousand square meter stretch of space all to yourself with the Arabian Sea pretty much touching all sides. You can just walk the untouched beaches in the morning and see nothing but water and the Dubai skyline way off in the distance. Sometimes all you hear is a bird or maybe the gentle noises from a small boat heading back to the mainland. It is private to the point you might forget that crowded city life even exists for a bit.
Honestly, the cool thing is just how open everything is out here. The plot really does let your imagination run wild. I was thinking it could be a proper beach hotel or some sort of luxury retreat. You might even dream up a really unique community that is just about living quietly by the water full time. You stand out there and the ideas sort of jump out at you. There is room for big plans and peaceful moments both. The built up area is huge eight hundred twenty nine thousand square feet gives you plenty of options whether you want something sprawling or maybe a bit more tucked away.
Getting here always feels special. It is only possible by sea or air which sort of turns every visit into a little escape. It is around four kilometers offshore from Jumeirah Beach so the city is close enough but you are never right in it unless you want to be. Sometimes it is nice having Dubai just as a view on the horizon rather than your everyday noise. And you get those unbroken views of both the city and the open ocean which you honestly just have to see for yourself to get.
Anyone who has been out to The World Islands probably knows what I mean when I say the air and the energy are different. The islands are all so different from each other you get this mix of new ideas from neighbors like Sweden or Germany which are already shaping up with hotels and restaurants. People are out there windsurfing or just having coffee in small cafes some afternoons. That lifestyle does not feel forced either it just sort of happens when everything is built right on the water and there is so much open sky.
On Colombia Island you get the option to make something genuinely original because nothing comes ready made for you here. You walk the space and think about where the evening sun falls or where you would put a path down to the shore. There is no traffic noise just the sound of water or maybe kids running if you ever set up your own family getaway out here. Even little everyday things stand out more you might just walk barefoot along the sand and sort of lose track of the time and honestly sometimes your phone just stays in your bag for hours.
The privacy is a big deal. Every island is its own world in the World Islands community and Colombia is one of the few left with this much untouched potential. Water sports are right there if you are into that sort of thing and you can always get fresh seafood delivered from the city. Mornings are slow here sun comes up over the skyline sea air is always a little salty and your day is whatever you want it to be.
If a private island in Dubai is something you have been quietly thinking about or you just want to walk the sand yourself and see if it fits this is probably worth a closer look. Let me know if you have questions or if you want to come see Colombia Island in person. At LuxuryProperty.com we do our best to make things feel relaxed and honest from the very first chat.
