Some places just give you that comfortable, easy feeling right away. This is one of them. I stopped here at this two bedroom apartment in Hartland Greens, Sobha Hartland and honestly just wanted to sit down and watch the daylight move across the room for a bit. Maybe it is the way the big windows look out onto the courtyard or maybe it is all the trees around or it might just be how quiet things feel in this spot. This is not the kind of Dubai apartment where you hear the city all day. Instead you hear a bird singing or kids running down in the green spaces.
You kind of forget that you are so close to Downtown Dubai and Dubai Marina because here, it just feels slower. I actually stood by the window and watched someone walking their dog nearby. You can hear some of the noises from Hartland Boulevard a little but it is so tucked in with all the gardens that it feels much more private than most other places around Mohammed Bin Rashid City. Even though you are in an apartment, it does not really feel that way most of the time. The floor to ceiling glass makes it seem like your living area stretches right out into the trees and courtyard. Sometimes if the evening breeze comes through you could just open up the windows and let the fresh air fill the place.
Inside, the wood flooring makes things feel calm. It is not trying too hard to look flashy. The kitchen actually feels like somewhere you could cook for real. You can imagine chopping vegetables with sunlight streaming in or friends sitting around the table talking while you finish dinner. Everything is open so the living area and the kitchen just flow together. It is honest space. Family would feel at home. Or if it is just you, you will not feel closed in. The bedrooms keep a sense of privacy and are just big enough that you do not need to fuss with furniture too much. There is enough storage space for city living too—sometimes that is not easy to find in Dubai.
One thing you will notice is how easy life feels here. You walk down through the building and you are not facing a massive lobby or long echoing halls. It is just comfortable. If you want a coffee or need to grab something for dinner, Hartland Square and Hartland Boulevard are right over there. I saw people heading in and out of the shops so you will not feel cut off. Then, when you want more restaurants or want to get to the waterfront for a walk, The Walk is also close by. Sometimes you see families or couples sitting out there on a weekend. There are two international schools and a couple of hospitals nearby if that is important for you.
Even though it is called a low rise development, it still feels very much a part of Dubai's city life but without all the noise. The whole Sobha Hartland community is pretty well kept. The green landscaping does not look fake. Feels nice to walk in the courtyards or maybe just head out for a jog. That is something you notice if you are looking to live somewhere for a while.
So whether you are starting out in Dubai or just looking to make a quieter move inside the city, this two bedroom at Hartland Greens might be worth a look. The courtyard view can be your own window on a quieter piece of Dubai. If you want to come by and see if this spot feels right for you, just let me know.
